The Pod on the Hill

Situated approx.2.5 miles outside the village of Port Ellen, the POD offers peace, quiet and relaxation after exploring the distilleries and the joys of the Island. Port Ellen and Laphroaig can be seen from the POD which overlooks Kilnaughton Bay. The path to the three distilleries on this side of the Island starts in the village, taking you first to Laphroaig then Lagavulin , finishing at Ardbeg where delicious food is available. Modern new luxury cabin nestled on our working croft shared with our Hebridean Sheep. Situated in a peaceful glen twenty minutes walk to the local coastal village Connel and ten mins drive to the town of Oban we offer a gateway to the outdoors - mountains, beaches, forests, islands. The cabin has been built to immerse our guests into the tranquil surroundings with uninterrupted countryside views over native woodland from the decking area where deer and sea eagles are regular visitors.

Shepherd's Hut near Oban

Get away from it all in our shepherd's hut located just outside the village of Connel and only a ten minute drive from the bustling seaside town of Oban. The accommodation is located on our family croft (we live on site near to the shepherds hut) with ducks, hens, Hebridean sheep and our two ponies as your closest neighbours. We are surrounded by abundant wildlife such as pine martens and red deer and have outstanding views over unspoiled countryside towards the slopes of Ben Cruachan.
