This is a tour for adults only (17+).

I don't pull punches on the grim and gory details of the stories you'll hear. This tour explores the disturbing secrets and truths about New Orleans, going back to the founding of the colony.

We will meet under the glowing arch of Armstrong Park, and descend into the French Quarter to discuss tales of ageless vampires, star-crossed lovers, demonic possession, and a ghostly, ever-changing parade of New Orleans’ most wicked characters. You’ve heard rumor of the ‘Devil’s Empire’ - now immerse yourself in its disturbing truth.

The tour covers approximately a mile of distance over 1.5 hours, but you won't be counting steps. There will be no less than seven stops of haunted sites and former crime scenes. These stories are unlike any other tour for the simple fact that we dive deep into the specific details of some of the goriest stories New Orleans has to offer. Which is why this is an adult only experience. If you want a PG-13 experience with kids, my tour is not for you. Groups are always 20 people or less.

We will make stops at the site of where Voodoo was practiced, we will stand near the site of our first parish prison and discuss an angry mob that once took it over, discuss a murder/suicide, talk about dolls, visit the location where the Mad Madame Lalaurie lived, and then end with a tale of New Orleans' most infamous serial killer.

My name is Christo. I am native of New Orleans and my ancestry in this region goes back generations. My passion for sharing these stories will not be matched. I am a licensed tour guide, I have been giving tours for many years, and hold an honorary doctorate in the study of paranormal history and demonology via the Old Catholic Church.

Doug, a veteran tour guide of New Orleans and has worked as a rune reader at Marie Laveau's House of Voodoo. A lifelong student of the esoteric, his tours are like nothing else out there.

Donde estarás

We say "Hi" and check-in under the bright lights of the white archway to Armstrong Park (picture included in the photo section of check-in location). After our introduction, We will walk the lantern lit streets of the French Quarter and visit sites such as Congo Square, the home of Zack and Addie, the Lalaurie Mansion, and much more. The locations of these tales would not be found without an expert that was raised in this neighborhood.

Doug and Renee were our guides and they did an excellent job! Both were fun, welcoming, and very passionate about the stories which made the experience special. We wish we had done this tour the first day we arrived because it makes you realize the unique history all around you. Instead, this was the last activity we did before leaving, but it was the perfect way to end our trip!!

It was my first time in Nola and due to the events occurring, we had to split into smaller groups. LUCKILY we got Edward. His story telling is amazing and really takes his time to answer questions and or explain something in further detail. Would 100% recommend to anybody. He interacts with his group on multiple levels and remembers details about what you tell him.

Wow! So informative and amazing storytelling. Not boring rattling off of facts- interwoven, jumping time, humorous, sentimental. Highly recommend! Would have enjoyed a even longer time with them to learn even more!

We were split into two small groups which was nice and Edward was a great storyteller. He seemed very knowledgeable in New Orleans history from the colonial era to now. I usually get distracted easily but I was captivated by Edward’s passion of history and storytelling. If you really want to know about the history aspect of all the paranormal hotspots of New Orleans this tour is perfect for you but if you’re seeking for more fun or wanting to get spooked, this is not it. As much as the tour was great for what it was, I did feel underwhelmed. I wish he incorporated actual paranormal sighting or his personal experience with paranormal activities.

Más consejos

We do not go inside of haunted buildings. This is strictly a walking tour. ***We meet at the cross streets of St. Ann and Rampart under the White Archway that says ARMSTRONG*** Sometimes Google Maps does not recognize this and will bring people to the other park entrance two blocks away.
