Qué harás

Would you like to spend some relaxing time with our friendly animals in the stunning volcanic backdrop of the Upper Atiamuri countryside. We have highland cattle, specialty wool sheep, horses, ponies, goats, chickens, ducks & more. Many of which are rescues. We'll take a stroll to meet and feed the animals and take some photos so you can remember this special experience.

We'll be happy to explain some of the history of the area and talk about NZ farming, and a few stories along the way. I'm happy to answer any questions you have too.

After many requests for a combination of our tours, this is a combination of two of our most popular. You will be able to take part in a hands on wool processing demonstration and interact with many farm animals and help to feed and pat them. We are proud that we are not a tourist farm, and can provide an authentic experience that will allow you to experience the NZ farm lifestyle and learn a bit more about the animals that we care for and experience the stunningly beautiful Atiamuri landscape. If you can't see this tour at the time you would like, just message me and ask for the time that you would like and I'll try to schedule it at the time you want.

If you like nature and natural, traditional crafts this is the combo for you.

Hi I'm Angie and I love animals, the countryside, travel and meeting people from all over the planet! After having grown up around farming and farm animals, I know live with my family in one of the prettiest rural area in NZ. We are lucky enough to have a volcanically formed hills and the beautiful Horohoro mountain range and super friendly farm animals.

I"m a teacher and enjoy making the tour as educational as you would like. I also enjoy looking after our specialty wool sheep and processing their wool with possum, lama, alpaca, angora and silk. I love allowing people to have a try of this traditional skill and enjoy watching the creativity it inspires.

Donde estarás

We will have a fully guided walk around our little farm in Rotorua's Atiamuri countryside. We'll explore the orchard and visit many different farm animals . You'll have the chance to pat/feed all of our animals. Then you'll be able to hand feed our very tame Scottish Highland cows. You'll be surrounded by rolling hill country. Next we'll see the rare breed chickens with a fascinating look at NZ wool craft with a wool processing demonstration

This was an incredible experience for our little family-there was something for each of us!! Our 3 yo LOVED riding the pony; the wife loved the scenery and learning about wool and getting a chance to spin it and I just loved the personalised experience and farming knowledge that Angie gave us. We can not recommend this experience enough. Thanks Angie!!

Angie's farm is filled with really wonderful animals! It was my first time meeting a highland cow and they are just the sweetest things ever! Her horses loved the frozen carrot treats :)
