Qué harás

Depending on the weather we'll start with a riding lesson where I'll walk you through the fundamentals of groundwork, balance, seat, shifting your weight, reigns, leg aides and some time for you to practice on our beginners horse. I'll be with your all the way. Next we'll take a relaxing walk around the farm to meet, pat and hand feed our animals.
We have specialty wool sheep, Scottish Highland cows (fluffy cows), goats, Horses, and a mini horse, goats, ducks (sometimes ducklings), Chickens (often chick to hold), a dog, and a few more to meet. I'm happy to answer any questions you may like to ask about farming in our area or the local history.

If the group want to and time allows we can take a short walk up a hill to see the Horrors mountain range and take some photos. This is limited to 4-5 guests due to the riding time, but let me know if you have a larger group and we can extend the time and add more guests if needed. You may like to add the lunch onto this experience and that would extend your riding time also. Private experiences are also available for bookings or special occasions.

This combo has been asked for by guests and we are really proud to be able to offer it as a way for guests to enjoy a farm experience with two of our most popular activities. Please note riding is available only to children and adults under 80 kg, to ensure rider and horse's comfort.
Other things to note
A good idea to bring your phone/camera, warm clothes for cool days. Long pants for riding, skirts of dresses are often uncomfortable for riding, so long pants are the best choice. Remember riders should be under 80kg, or your may give your riding time to someone else in your group if you prefer.

Hello, I'm Angie and I like to share my farming and Horse riding knowledge with others. I'm also a teacher and enjoying imparting skills and knowledge to others. I've been around farming and animals all of my life and like to share my love of animals with others. I first learnt to ride bareback without reigns on a large, but gentle clydesdale, and was enamoured with horses ever since.

It's fun seeing children and adults enjoy the experience, which is rewarding for me and usually exciting and relaxing for our guests. I know that our farm holds exceptional beauty with rolling hills surrounding us and beautiful trees and flowers. I breed specialty wool sheep and teach you to communicate with your horse to ensure you have a unique bond with it and you develop confidence and a new perspective on riding, horses and farm life in NZ.

Donde estarás

Atiamuri is surrounded by some flat but mainly gentle hilly countryside, although our land is mostly flat paddocks and has a spectacular view of MT Horohoro ranges. We are located about 20 mins south of Rotorua and 40 mins north of Taupo, just off State Highway 30. You'll be riding in a lovely paddock with sheep & goats with a view of other horses and cows. Then you'll be guided around the farm to meet and feed the other animals on the farm.

It was a wonderful experience for our grandsons 12th birthday and Angie the host was super patient and encouraging, particularly with the horse riding, which all made for an enjoyable time. All the animals were very friendly and I think I've made two new goat friends in Philly and Billy.

Lovely experience, Angie is genuinely interested in spreading the art of wool making and horse riding. She offered us some cashew and water, felt us like a real guest. I just wish wool shearing was a part of this experience.

Type 291 palson road accurately If you press the shortcut to Airbnb, it can be a little confusing. The surroundings are nice and the host is kind. I highly recommend a house with children.
