Taste the best and genuine Portuguese food

I'll introduce you to several and iconic Portuguese codfish dishes and you'll leave with the skills necessary to prepare them at home.
I'll only work with the best and freshest ingredients, creating classic dishes from zero while we enjoy some different wines from Portuguese producers, regional chorizos, cheese, bread and other specialities.
We'll make three dishes from that list: Pastéis de bacalhau, Pataniscas de bacalhau, Açorda de bacalhau, Bacalhau à Braz, Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá, Bacalhau com natas and Bacalhau com broa, or others season dishes - all served with fresh salad. I'll share my knowledge about our real and ancestral regional cuisine.

I am a publisher, food developer and editor of several publications and food developer, cook and manager of a different catering service at In Love with Food company. I am also coordinator of food workshops and showcooking held for various parish councils and municipal councils in the country.
I am the author and co-author of several books on food and nutrition and I've a professional certificate on Hygiene and Food Safety in Catering by CFPSA - Centro de Formação Profissional para o Sector Alimentar.

Gebucht war ein Kochkurs - bekommen haben wir einen unvergesslichen Abend, neue Freunde, ein Einblick in das Leben in Portugal..... wir warten darauf, dass uns Maria und ihr Mann in der Schweiz besuchen kommen. Hoffentlich haben sie es in der Zwischenzeit geschafft all die Herrlichkeiten mit Hilfe der Familie und Freunden aufzuessen ( es hätte für eine Fussballmannschaft gereicht 😄). Antónia and Luis were wonderful hosts! They are warm and welcoming, and made me feel like I have a family away from home. I had a great time learning about Lisbon through their eyes, hearing their stories, and sharing a delicious meal together. I would recommend this experience to food-lovers or anyone who enjoys making friends during their travels.

The best thing we did in Lisbon. Antonia and Luis are super hosts, very welcoming and with warm hearts. It was an amazing evening, we cooked together and ate a great delicious meal afterwards. But it was much more than just that. We wont forget our evening with this wonderful people.

Antonia and her husband were the best hosts we could ask for. From the minute you walked in you were welcomed as an old friend and by the end of the night I really felt like an old friend. They provided a wonderful spread of food and drinks and were overly generous. She is a very knowledgeable cook and explained all the details and history of the cod. She allowed you to get as involved as you wished. It was my friend’s birthday and she went out of her way to make a special cake. Overall it was a wonderful experience!

We had the best bacalau (codfish) in Lisbon. Antónia and her husband were wonderful hosts. Antónia is a great chef/teacher. They even made a birthday cake for my mom who was celebrating her birthday. Highly recommend this experience!!!!
