Learn to cook delicious and seasonal cuisine with a top chef right in Chicago. Chef Jared will be your local food guide and teach you how to bring your cooking to the next level.

We'll start by sourcing ingredients to learn how to understand what's fresh and seasonal. We'll then create a delicious meal in our home kitchen. Make dishes such as fresh vegetable gnocchi, New England oyster shooters, local meat and fish and much much more. Every lesson is hand crafted specifically for what your dietary needs are and what the farmers brought in that day.

After learning the basics, Chef Jared will help you master the techniques behind the full meal. Free yourself from traditional recipes by learning the science behind techniques. With your new culinary skills, you'll be the envy of your friends when hosting dinner parties!

We accommodate all dietary restrictions -- just let us know! If you have a specific allergy or if you're a vegan, we'll craft a unique experience. Just make sure you mention it to us- we can't accommodate you if we don't know your restrictions ahead of time.

Jared is an experienced farm-to-table chef, creating locally sourced meals and tasting menus for restaurants such as Ten Tables, Journeyman, No. 9 Park and the Boston Harbor Hotel. He has been teaching cooking classes for years in culinary schools, and most recently decided to share his love with the public via Airbnb.

My boyfriend and I had an excellent experience cooking with Jared! He was clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his work, and had different stages of each course prepped like they do on the cooking shows. In terms of ambiance, the view was amazing and a wonderful way to spend your evening. Highly recommend!

WOW - what can I put in words that will adequately describe the magic that Jared is able to create in his Experience. I was a little nervous about booking the experience, as it was a joint gift for my partner, but I ended up learning so much and enjoying myself to a degree where I would call the Experience invaluable. First of all, Jared is an incredible host. He brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion for local cooking to this experience. His home was clean and welcoming, yet still professional. I felt like I was simultaneously in a world class kitchen and my best friend's apartment. I think that just speaks to the kind of culture Jared is able to cultivate. We began by cooking some delicious foccacia, followed by a seared eggplant bao, and finished with a dessert of macarons. Jared comes off as extremely humble and open to sharing his breadth of knowledge behind cooking. It is clear he has devoted much of his life to perfecting this craft, and he communicates things in a way that makes it very easy to understand. Jared is specifically well-versed in the molecular science of cooking. He truly does cook from the ground up, using locally sourced and home-grown ingredients. I left feeling like I learned so much about the science of cooking. His selflessness showed when he offered us some of his own wine to pair with our dinner meal. Furthermore, he gave us bread to-go and some of his personally-made yeast starter to try our own foccacia-making at home. Jared's experience is the quintessential AirBnB experience, bar none. I have been recommending and raving about Jared's experience to my friends and family. I truly felt like this was a once in a lifetime opportunity and for a great value. Jared is an absolute star, and I strongly encourage anyone with a passion for cooking, desire to learn more about molecular gastronomy, or simply an open mind to book with Jared!

Jared was extremely knowledgeable in the science behind cooking and farm-to-table. The food was delicious. But the class was just too scientific. My wife and I attended this class for her birthday, expecting it to be like majority of the other cooking classes - 80% hands-on and experiential/entertaining, 20% educational. This was the complete opposite. The class felt more like a college lecture. I highly recommend this class if you are looking to learn new technical concepts behind the science of cooking.

Jared was an absolute expert when it came to the science and execution of cooking. The instruction was invaluable and will be central to what we do in our own cooking. The food itself was artfully prepared. It was exploding with plenty of flavors I had never experienced before. He was incredibly friendly, kind, and knowledgeable with a plenty of useful tips and fascinating culinary stories.

Jared is incredibly knowledgeable and a master of his craft. Jared is very accommodating to dietary limitations. You are led through each recipe and there is a big focus on the science and how things work in the cooking process which I find very important. This was an awesome experience and will be doing it again.
