We spent the day with Victor. He was a nice man but the whole day felt very rushed and unfocused. Ironically the tour lasted longer that expected but we felt like a lot of locations were squeezed in with little/difficult to understand or irrelevant details provided. I found myself having to google a lot after the tour.
We asked to stop for lunch and a beer after hours of fast paced walking on the streets as it was hot and he took us to a coffee shop for pastries.
Overall, he seemed set on his itinerary and was not interested in slowing down much to explain in detail or check in with us. My husband and I were the only ones on the tour so it would have been quite easy for him to be more accommodating.
He took many pictures through out the day but ignored both of my request to share the pictures with us which feels like all of the time spent taking pictures was a big waste.

I would highly recommend Happy's Cultural tour to any first time visitor to KL or return visitors who really want to get a deep understanding of the history of Malaysia and its people, and of KL specifically. Happy keeps his tour group size small which allows lots of freedon to discuss things of particular interest to individuals. I really enjoyed seeing the more interesting sights that a tourism brochure will not take you to. I joined Happy's tour during the month of Ramadan ... many prospective travellers may think that this is not a good time to visit KL as it is not as "busy" during the day, but I found it a very interesting time to join Happy's tour. Yes, streets were quieter but you saw a different perspective ... I was fascinated to see the Muslims early in the morning stirring absolutely massive pots of porridge in readiness for break of fast in the evening. Happy's personality makes it pretty much impossible to feel like you have not gained a new friend by the time tour comes to an end.
