Qué harás

First of all we are going to meet at Lisbon Bus station, then we’ll travel together to my city, a perfect moment to get to know each other (it will cost you around 6 euros the bus from Lisbon to Torres Vedras).
As soon as we arrive we visit my garden, say hello to the fishes and the frogs, take some aromatics for the menu and finally we get in the house directly to my lab –my kitchen .
We will take a "toast" tee and taste some Vitalizing snacks wile I present you my project and it’s main ingredients: whole grains as brow rice and quinoa; vegetable proteins, as tofu, seitan, temphe; magnetic no sugar deserts; and the menu.
Then you will fil free to choose one of my aprons or your note book, to be stand and to participate or just have a seat and watch and smell the delicious things I’m going to prepare for you.
Little by little you are going to understand the importance of choosing the best vegetables, the way to wash , to cut and to cook them. How to use best a pressure cooker, an iron pan the solar cooker, and so on.
Finally we are going to seat at the table and eat the healthy colourful delicious menu.
Please fill free to ask anything you feel the need about the menu or about Vitalizing Cook.

IMPORTANT: Schedules and menus can be adapted.
I’ll give you all the menu recipes.
Then, if you wish we can visit the historic center of the city or I can give you some documentation!

I’m Paula, Palucha for friends. So, my friends, I’m Portuguese and I live in a little fantastic town called Torres Vedras (very near from Lisbon). I have, since 1987, a Unique Life Project: Vitalizing Educative Cooking based on Macrobiotic Vegan Philosophy.
I’m graduated in Social Sciences; graduated in Macrobiotics from the institutes: Michio Kushi (Portugal and Switzerland) and Unique Principle (Brazil); Winner of Climathon 2019, Torres Vedras, with the project “E-Co-Food, Circular Vitality”.
To practice and teach a healthy cooking is a wonderful trip, plenty of organic ingredients that allows me to do menus from all the world.
In these few hours, with this style of cooking, you will be able to learn important tips for taking care of your physical and mental health.

I live In a traditional Portuguese house surrounded by a beautiful garden full of, Bamboos, birds of paradise, bogainvillea and a lake with fishes.

Une vraie expérience en dehors des sentiers battus. Un moment de partage tout en simplicité dans une magnifique maison typiquement portugaise avec sa cuisine solaire...toute en jaune! 💛 Vous aurez l’impression de passe un moment entre amis et vous repartirez avec recettes, astuces et nouvelles connaissances en cadeau ! N’hésitez pas à poser plein de questions Paula est un puits de connaissances de cuisine macrobiotique, saine, végétale.... Vous aurez certainement la chance de prendre le déjeuner à table avec elle et son adorable mari au sourire enjoué pour déguster vous créations culinaires. Un moment tout en authenticité! To begin with,the environment is absolutely Portuguese , her house is beautiful ( ask for a tour , sorry Paula ;) ) the kitchen is a beautiful and unique , I felt like I was really into an old times. Learning about healthy food was something that I always wanted to do and Paula has a lot of knowledge, she was so generous that she included another plate in the menu. After the food was ready we had lunch, everything was delicious and we went to walk in Torres Vedras where Paula talked about history and the development of Torres Vedras. Thank you Palucha for everything and I’ll be back in the summer with the whole family for a new menu .

We had a really nice time with Paula, learnt a lot and enjoyed a delicious meal together! It was great to spend time in a grand old Portuguese house and Paula was very welcoming. We learnt about some really different techniques and used interesting, fresh produce which is not so common in Portugal such as miso, seaweed from the beach and homemade seitan (so good!) Would definitely recommend this unique experience. Obrigada Paula!

Foi uma tarde bem passada na cozinha amarela. Aprendemos a socar arroz, esticámos esparguete e fizemos flores da quaresma de cenoura, entre muitas outras coisas, numa maratona de oito pratos natalícios saudáveis. Isto parece um contra-senso, natalício e saudável na mesma frase, mas quando se trata da comida da Paula, é mesmo isso que se pretende e o que me levou a querer conhecer a sua cozinha vitalizante. Após a bem disposta maratona de quatro horas, a merecida refeição onde pudemos provar todas as iguarias que preparámos com a ajuda da energética chef de avental a condizer com a cor da cozinha e das unhas, acompanhadas por um quente, acolhedor e delicioso chá de raíz de lótus.  Aprendi algumas coisas sobre culinária vitalizante e fiquei com vontade de saber mais e de repetir as receitas apresentadas, uma de cada vez.

Paula is a very cool lady who knows a lot about cooking. She has a very different approach to cooking and she is very knowledgeable. I also got to meet another local lady who was in class and we had a great time. Paula even adapted the class to my interests the moment she knew I am a baker! Highly recommended!
