Qué harás

In a small group, you'll admire ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman sculptures, marvel at Renaissance masterpieces by Michelangelo and Raphael, and stand in awe of the Vatican's crown jewel: the Sistine Chapel.

The morning is the busiest period of the day at the Vatican, so we'll avoid the AM masses by visiting in the late afternoon. Either I or one of my enthusiastic cohosts will provide a comprehensive tour to the Sistine Chapel and the Pope's collection of art, giving fun, relevant, and interesting info along the way. We'll also allow free time for exploration and photos.

Following the Sistine Chapel, we'll take the back entrance to St. Peter's, only open to visitors with a licensed guide. This back entrance allows us to skip the huge security lines outside St. Peter's Basilica. St. Peter's is the largest church in the world and the center of religion for Catholics, so we'll make sure to give it the time it deserves. During our visit, we'll go to some of the less-visited side chapels, which include sculptures by Michelangelo, paintings by Raphael, and even the exposed bodies of deceased Popes.

We'll conclude the tour in St. Peter's Basilica, where you'll have an option of exploring its crypts lined with the tombs of many Popes (free to visit), and time for self-exploration.

Originally from the United States, I've been lucky enough to call Rome home for the past 11 years!

I first came to Rome to study its incredible history, but Italy's charm, excitement, and food have kept me here for over a decade.

In addition to sharing the incredible 3,000 year history of Rome during the tour, I'm equally excited to share my top picks for pizza, pasta, gelato, and all things delicious in Rome.

Along with my officially licensed, English speaking co-hosts, we'll take care of all reservations so your visit to Rome's greatest sites includes a fun and informative tour while skipping the long lines.

Don't hesitate to contact me for any help planning your trip to Italy!

Donde estarás

We'll visit the Vatican Museums, which began as the Pope's private collection of art and sculpture, but now is thankfully shared with the public.

The Vatican Museums are filled with ancient Roman, Greek, and Egyptian art, along with the most impressive collection of Renaissance Italian pieces in the world.

Next, we'll go to the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo's frescos, and for being the election site of Popes.

We had Alfredo as a tour guide and he was great - friendly and very knowledgeable. He also spoke perfect English, despite being Italian. The tour was incredible and since we visited post lockdown (July 2020) our group of five had a relatively empty museum to explore. The museum is almost indescribable in how incredibly rich with art it is (including the smaller modern art section at the end!), with stunning statues, tapestries, frescoes, mosaics, all ending with the infamous Sistine Chapel. If you can afford one special tour while on vacation to Rome, I really recommend this one! We will be back!

Wonderful interaction from the first moment. Brent and his team has great recommendations for food and lovely hangout spots. They were communicative so even though I booked the experience last minute, coordinations were simple.

This tour is great if you would like to get ahead of the crowd and hear the story from an expert in history and Vatican. A longer tour is a must for people who love history.

Absolutely fantastic. Alessandra was amazing. She knew so much about the everything we saw and was extremely interesting to listen to. There is no way I would have got as much out of my visit without a guide. The museum is so big and to have things explained in such great detail really made the trip memorable. We ran over time by about an hour but that was fine and meant we got to experience so much more without feeling at all rushed. Added bonus was the small group, there were only 4 of us which made it feel like a private tour. Highly recommended.

Alessandra was a wonderfull host, with a rich knowledge of the Vatican, but also of art. She gave us a great insight on the Vatican museum, but not only, answered our questions, making this tour an interactive dive into history and culture. A very valuable tour for those who want to get as much as possible, on the fast lane.
