Qué harás

On this two hour walking tour of Bondi Beach and headlands, you will visit three archaeological sites dating from 3,000-4,000 BC that feature simple figurative Aboriginal rock art engravings depicting whales, fish, sea turtles, man and perhaps the first account of a shark attack, while walking both the north and south headlands from Williams Park and Ben Buckler to McKenzie Point with the sweeping sands of Bondi Beach in between.

Along the way you will pass the National Heritage listed Bondi Pavilion, Bondi and North Bondi Surf Clubs, Icebergs building and pool, taking in all the sites that make Bondi Beach iconic from lifesavers, surfers and sun bathers to the graffiti wall, skate park and boat ramp.

Expect an invigorating walk along gentle paths with hills and stairs (that unfortunately make it unsuitable for wheel chair access) fresh air, salt on your lips and sun on your back.

I can be flexible, so please contact me to change the departure time to suit.

Make a day of it and take the time to swim at the beach before and after the tour, enjoy food and refreshments at Iceberg’s Terrace, the Diggers’ Golf Club or the many cafes, bars and restaurants that Bondi has to offer
Other things to note
You can park in the beach parking around Bondi Pavilion (the boom gate is at the south end of the beach). Or you will find parking up the hill at North Bondi opposite the golf course.

We had a fantastic morning trek with Lisa on the coast overlooking the ocean! Never would we have spotted all the ancient rock carvings that she took us to. Nor would we have had the many stories behind the carvings and how they tie in with the history of Sydney. Highly recommend for those interested in history in a gorgeous setting!

Lisa has brilliant local knowledge and an incredible passion. I was unable to make a scheduled tour time and Lisa was kind enough to arrange a time that suited us both, which was hugely appreciated. The tour began with a walk to the golf course on North Bondi, which I never would have thought to venture to otherwise, and Lisa pointed out lots of things on the way which I never would have noticed on my own! Her enthusiasm and love of Bondi really shines through. Highly recommend the tour!

A very unique tour that will take you on a special side of Australia's aboriginal culture. What Lisa shows during the tour would be absolutely impossible and hard to come by on your own. A great way to spend a few hours in the beautiful Bondi beach surroundings while learning all about the history in the area.
