I am an experienced off-road driver, and high desert explorer; I want to share my passion and knowledge in the local flora, fauna, breathtaking vistas, and geology. I want my guests to appreciate and discover the magic of the high desert, so I take them through areas that are inaccessible to the general public. As a keen 4WD enthusiast, I take groups to explore and experience the unparallel beauty of the Mojave Desert.

Highlight of our stay, thank you to our driver Steve for taking us on an epic tour of the desert 🏜️ Ancient Rock was especially interesting and that quick little fast climb up that quartz hill was so exciting!

This experience is awesome, a must-do! Steve is the OG of Joshua Tree, a true gem who is not only super knowledgeable about the landscape and plant life but is also extremely friendly and professional. He made sure that we had the best time and we’re comfortable w/ blankets, towels, etc and all the photos we could want. We can’t wait to come back!

What a wonderful visit to the backcountry desert! The landscape is just phenomenal, and going on rough dirt roads gave us access to stunning vegetation, trees, and little creatures of all kinds. We got a glimpse of some homesteads and heard stories of how folks live up there. We were especially taken by the huge Joshua trees and junipers. Our host Steve was very friendly and shared his obvious love of the plants and landscape. We just loved this trip and would highly recommend it!

Thankful Google Maps was able to take us to this remote location where the adventure began. We were greeted with a big smile and handshake by Steve who's passion for what he is doing showed throughout the tour. His concern for our safety and comfort was appreciated. Although the instructions to prepare for the trip clearly stayed to come prepared wearing layers of clothing we hadn't anticipated that we'd be dealing with much lower temperatures as we climbed up the elevation. Fortunately, Henry and Steve had beautiful blankets onboard the super padded seats so we were able to wrap ourselves up while comfortably bouncing around. We were lucky to have picked a beautiful blue sky day as and still catch the snow up top. I was particularly impressed with Steve's true love of the landscape and and extensive knowledge of the trees & formations. Hard to phantom being amidst growth said to be billions of years old. We learnt about the ways both man and nature's work help to revive landscapes that have been overcome by major fires. One sign pointed out simply read "sad" and indeed it is to realize the incredible negative impact forest fires can have. If being with crowds and seeing what the Joshua National Park offers this isn't the tour. If getting off road and being surrounded with Joshua Trees larger than you might see in the park and getting a private, informative introduction to stunning foliage and vistas, I highly recommend this tour that is truly a great experience and value.
