Qué harás

While visiting the artist's studio, you learn the process of blowing glass, and glass blowing techniques including taking a gather, marvering, blow'n-cap, and shaping glass. The workshop is very hands-on, focused on the process instead of the final product. With experienced glass artists, you make 2 to 3 small objects such as a paperweight, ornament/float, and/or drinking glass, to take home.

Glassblowing is a team work. We strongly recommend to experience this with another person. If you are solo, you may still book a spot. However, the single booker should expect to finish earlier.

Best to wear a cotton top and cotton pants. Open-toed shoes are not allowed. Please bring a pair of sunglasses, proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test taken within the past 72 hours with photo ID, and a face mask with you.

Be prepared to be hot and sweaty, and to have fun! BYOB if you like.

We can be flexible. Feel free to reach out to us to schedule a specific date and time or a private group if you don't see it on our calendar.

Other things to note...
Your pieces will be ready to be picked up in 24 hours. Shipping available with additional fee.

We are two local glass artists who have been blowing glass collectively for 39 years, 5 months, and 23 days, and counting... When we create our glass work, two of us as a team make it by hand, one piece at a time. We love colors and glass, and would like to share our passion and knowledge of glassblowing with you. We have a cute shop dog, French bulldog, Kaiju, welcoming you!

Always a fun experience with great blown glass pieces to remember it by. Motoko and Joshua are always very helpful with not only helping you to blow glass but to understand what you are doing and why.

Our glass blowing experience was a truthful experience. It was a real hands-on experience. With the superb guidance of Motoko & Joshua we got to try glass blowing for ourselves. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to try it for themselves!

What a wonderful experience! Motoko & Joshua were excellent teachers. Their passion for glass blowing was infectious and inspiring. Whether you're visiting from out of town or local (like us), this is a great experience that I would highly recommend! You get to really get your hands "dirty" in their class. In other glass blowing classes, you are more of a spectator that is allowed to do a minimal amount of actual glass blowing. Not here - you get the whole kit and caboodle. Highly recommend!

This workshop was a great introduction to a new hobby! Motoko and Joshua really walk you through the entire process, they emphasize all you need to know to stay safe while making your projects and they teach you every step of the process so that you feel empowered to keep going with it. Highly recommend!
