We shall then have a typical Mamak breakfast (Roti Canai & Teh Tarik) before starting our journey.

I am a freelance Licensed Tour Guide. In 1983, I left my little Kampong (Village) for the Big City called KL (Kuala Lumpur) to work. Being away from Home Sweet Home, having Street Food became the norm. The search for food as good as Mother’s home-cooked meals became a necessity. Searching for Old-time & Simply Fabulous Simple Food In KL & PJ (Petaling Jaya) & beyond led to discovering basic comfort food for the ordinary people in the back lanes, alleys & streets of British Colonial KL and its surrounding areas.

Depending on the experience you pick to go with me, you will be overwhelmed with the fabulous street food in Chinatown, Little India (Ampang KL or Brickfields), a Kampong Baru (Malay Village in the heart of KL) or even further afield in Klang. I will also share less -known Tales that were not often mentioned.

We had a great visit to the Batu Caves with Chin Lea, bookended by a tasty mamak breakfast and a really good Indian veg lunch. This was our second tour with Chin Lea, and we found him to be as friendly and informative as ever.
