Where to go what to do?
Sonora Street down will take you to lovely parks.
Dont forget to go to Chapultepec castle, modern museum and anthropology (maybe on the same day!) on the Chapultepec park (on one of the entrances from reforma) there is a nice bookstore called SM infront of Starbucks that bookstore has a nice área for coffe and light food just infront of the lake. You can also go to the posh nice área of Polanco and eat on one of the restaurants around the lovely parque Lincoln. All these places are nearby although a lot of walking to do.
When going to Frida Kahlo's join the trip to Coyoacan and maybe Xochimilco to make the most out of your day! (you can book your tickets online)

Food:
Good restaurants to have breakfast: just around the corner crossing the Street on Cozumel youll find a restaurant with a black plastic tent, they have fixed menues that include juice, coffee or tea, main dish and dessert for 50 to 60 pesos.. (good mexican dishes)
On Durango and Cozumel there are street stands of different things my favorite; the fruit and juice stand.
Also on Durango and Salamanca there is a place called VIPS where you can have dinner till 1 am and its open since 7:00 am. Good variety and free coffee refill..  I love the eggs dishes here and the molletes!
Pizza, empanadas, good beer, and steak at ZAZA on Pachuca Street almost corner with Veracruz. Monday through Saturday
The taco Street stands around the house are Stupendous! Dont miss-out on that experience and ultra cheap!
If you are into good soups! On Cozumel there almost infront of the barbershop there is a stand that sells pozole eat it there or take a topper wear from the house and ask to go.. (no polluting that way)
Talking about delicious POZOLE on Sinaloa to the left after sonora it changes name to Pachuca walk three blocks on sinaloa (pachucs) to "la pozoleria" or next to the pozoleria you'll find a delicious little vegan restaurant "veguisima"
If you are two or more people and are looking for a good sea food place it can look sketchy but really good and cheap go to the El Rey de Los Mariscos just next to metro Sevilla on Avenida Chapultepec (no need to cross this Avenue) one dish is good for 3 to 5 people so be ready to share!
Grocery Stores: Sumesa and Superama are just a few blocks away, in google maps look them up.
Sumesa: walk one Street down Sinaloa (right) one block till Salamanca and turn right again down 3 blocks and on Oaxaca and Salamanca youll see the Sumesa store.
On the right side of Colima Street between Cozumel and Sonora (two blocks away) there is a vegetable indoor Street market
