Charming, sunny, roomy (750 sq ft) attic apartment in a 1913 Craftsmen right in the heart of downtown's Jefferson Westside Neighborhood. Private entrance and patio, vaulted ceiling, full kitchen, AC, books, with organic tea and coffee, fizzy water, and snacks! Steps from Monroe Park, restaurants, breweries, and attractions. Two blocks from the Lane Events Center and less than two miles from U of O and Hayward Field. Due to many bad experiences, no third party booked work crews - sorry.

El espacio
Our home in the heart of the downtown Jefferson Westside neighborhood has easy access to all of central Eugene, The Hult Center, WoW Hall, U of O, and the Whiteaker.

Fun space with a cozy bedroom, vaulted ceiling in the main room, reading nook with plenty of books, wifi connected monitor, breakfast nook, shower, and a full kitchen. Wall heaters and a heat pump keep it toasty and AC keeps it cool.

Bedroom: comfy queen size bed and groovy built in drawers and closet, but watch yer head!

Main Room: Day bed acts a couch, a single bed for one or two singles. Breakfast bar. Plenty of room to stretch out.

Kitchen: We provide complementary organic tea and coffee, SodaStream fizzy water, and a wide assortment of light snacks. Outfitted with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, blender, toaster, coffee grinder (beans provided), coffee machine, and electric kettle. Stocked with plates, glasses, pots and pans, and other essential gear.

Reading nook is stocked with a diverse, interesting, and unique selection of books and magazines, or access our wifi.

Bathroom is roomy, stall shower, hair dryer, with complementary soap, shampoo, and other essentials.

Relax on our large landscaped patio (in season).

Check out our tip sheet for our favorite places to eat and things to do.

We, the owner operators, do all our own cleaning and linen. Recent upgrades include new windows in the living room and bedroom, new trim and touch-ups, and grout work in shower. We use a Dupray Steam Cleaner that blows steam at up to 295 degrees to sterilize the bathroom, kitchen, door handles, and table tops.

Acceso de los huéspedes
Text or call before you arrive so we can greet you. Visible house address is one thousand and sixty two but the apartment is upstairs and the private back entrance is by the rose bushes opposite the garage. We offer covered and locked spaces for bikes and other outdoor gear.

There is a washer and dryer available, but due to past issues with their use, we charge a fee of $5 per load. All guests must be included in the reservation (if you wish to add guests, you can request a change to your reservation), no one else may stay at the property - no exceptions. So, no spontaneous sleep-overs for one night. Charges for all guests on the reservation are for every night of the booking regardless of how many nights they actually stay. A one-night stay still requires linen to get washed. While friends and family who are not staying at the house are welcome, amenities such as beds and showers are for guest use only. Do not bring pets into the house. Please only use the beds you have requested and we cannot accommodate guests sleeping on floors, on furniture, or in the yard or vehicles.

Otros aspectos a destacar
Check-in (2-5) and out (noon) times are flexible, depending on how fast we have to turn the space around. There is some shared dedicated off street parking as well as on the street. Neighborhood is urban and downtown, safe, but lock your car/bike. We can provide locked storage for bikes or motorcycles.

Internet speed (as of 8/2020): 267.5 MPS Download and 25.2 MPS upload. 21ms latency.

Extended Stays
What is an extended stay?
An extended stay is a stay over two weeks. Unlike a hotel, we do not normally clean and stock on a regular basis during a booking.

COVID 19
The health and safety of our guests is our top priority. We follow all sanitation guidelines suggested by AirBnB and our expectation is that guests follow safety protocols when it comes to interactions with hosts and their own guests. These include following social distancing rules and wearing masks in enclosed spaces. Towards that end, we will wear masks when interacting with guests, social distance, and avoid physical contact.
We clean all surfaces and points of physical contact using disinfecting wipes or steam (@295 degrees).
Wear masks and gloves while cleaning and setting up the space.
Put a minimum of a 24 hour break between guests.

Security
Please keep your car locked at all times and the house locked when you are away. We recommend that you do not leave items outside unattended, including unlocked bikes, even in the backyard. You can store bicycles and other outdoor gear in the garage.

Noise
Please respect our neighbors by monitoring noise, especially at night.
We do not allow events, parties, live music, or large gatherings. However, having some people over for a meal or visit or non-amplified acoustical music is fine (no drums!).

Smoking
We do not allow tobacco smoking in the house, on the porch or patio, or anywhere on the property at any time for any reason. We do allow cannabis use on the back patio or front porch and inside (in moderation) if vented via an open window.

Extra Guests/Pets
Your booking is for the number of people and beds requested. All guests must be included in the reservation, regardless of how long they stay. Request reservation alterations via the app.
Any guests, regardless of the number of nights they stay, are charged the per guest fee for the entire stay.
Please do not use any beds that are not included in your initial reservation agreement.
We do not allow extra guests to sleep on couches, the floor, anywhere on the property, or in vehicles.
If you find you need to add a guest, contact the host and we will try to work something out.
Animals that qualify under ADA Guidelines for assisting those with disabilities (or are trained emotional support animals) are welcome. Other animals are not allowed in the space at any time.

Plants, Breakage/Damage, and Smelly Stuff
Plants should get a small amount (quarter cup) of water each week.
Breakage happens. Please report any breakage, damage, or other problem to us ASAP so we can take care of it right away.
Please do not use any spray or plug-in air-fresheners, scented candles, incense, or other scent generating products. There is a HEPA air cleaner in the closet.

Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with pots, pans, and utensils.
Generally, pots and pans with cooked-on or burnt food will not get clean if they are simply put in the dishwasher. Please hand-wash using the blue scrubby.
Please do not put edged knives in the dishwasher as it dulls them.
There are reusable shopping bags for your convenience.
Please feel free to use any cooking items (oil, spices, etc.).

Cleaning
The cleaning fee charged is for cleaning after you depart. If you would like us to come in and clean during your stay, the charge is $50 per cleaning (subject to availability; does not include linen). We do require that you be out of the unit while we clean.
Please do not wear outside shoes in the space. Not wearing shoes helps keep the space clean as well as quiet for other guests.
There is no regular trash/recycling service. Please contact the host if you need trash or recycling picked up. Thursday is the last day before pick up at our house, so we appreciate it if you keep that in mind.
A cleaning kit (cleanser, sponges, spray cleaner, dust cloth, paper towels) and a cordless vacuum are in the laundry room. A broom and dustpan are in the kitchen.
We require that you keep the space clean during your stay. At a minimum this includes:
o Using the toilet brush and spray cleaner on the toilets.
o Using cleanser in the shower and rinsing off the interior of the shower door after each use.
o Using cleanser in the sinks and wiping off the fixtures.
o Sweeping or vacuuming as needed.
o Wiping off countertops and the stove.
o Using the microwave cover, which keeps the appliance clean (then just handwash or toss in the dishwasher as needed).
If you want to mop the floors, let us know.
PLEASE: only use the cleaning products we supply or check with us before using any products.
We understand that accidents happen. If there is a major mishap and mess, let us know, and we can help deal with it.
BUGS! If you notice a pest problem (e.g. ants, wasp nests, etc.), let us know ASAP. We have a pest control service that will respond quickly.

Laundry
If you intend to do laundry, let us know, and we will brief you on the machines.
Normally, we charge $5 per load for laundry, but will waive that fee for extended stay guests with the understanding that use be kept to a maximum of 2-3 loads per week for personal items and a maximum of once per week for sheets and towels. (No reusable diapers please.)
PLEASE: Only use the laundry soap we provide or check with us before using any other products.
Never use any scented products or chlorine bleach!
Wash using cold water only.
Please leave the clothes washer door open after you are done so it does not get mildew.
Make sure to clean the lint trap in the dryer.
We have some drying racks and a laundry basket you can use, but please return them after each use so we and the other guests can use them.
Please actively monitor your laundry and do not leave clothes in the washer or dryer for extended periods of time.
We will contact you when we need to use the washer and dryer for turning over the other unit; please make sure they are available.

Linen
We will put out towels, hand towels, and wash cloths for you when you arrive.
If you would like more towels, hand towels, and wash cloths, please ask.
If you need extra blankets, you can get them in the marked cabinets.
Please be aware of the impacts of personal care products such as lotions or make-up on sheets and towels. Guests will be charged to replace stained linen.

Supplies
We provide many basic supplies, but if you plan on staying over 30 days, our expectation is that you provide your own supplies as needed.
If you need more trash bags, just ask.
We provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner. Let us know if you prefer to use your own products and we will remove ours to get them out of your way.
We supply toilet paper and paper towels – let us know if you need more.
We supply soap for the dishwasher and for hand washing dishes.
We initially stock the space with coffee (and filters), tea, and snacks, but once those run out you are on your own. If you do not drink tea and/or coffee, let us know, and we can get those items out of your way.

Spaces
The backyard and driveway are shared space. For parking, it is first come, first served.
Please respect cabinets and areas marked as “private.”

The Jefferson Westside neighborhood is a beautiful up-and-coming part of downtown with huge trees and older homes. The central location works for driving, biking, and walking. The downtown commercial district with Hult Center and the Saturday Market are only one mile. Slightly less edgy than the Whiteaker, which is also only a mile. U of O and Hayward Field less than two miles away. Monroe Park is a few steps away as are many great local businesses.
