A hidden gem nestled into a quiet hamlet within an area of outstanding natural beauty. This charming thatched 17th century cottage with a large garden and separate apartment provides a unique stay for a quiet retreat. Quaint exteriors and plenty of quirky details throughout. Recently stylishly renovated.

Near to Salisbury Plain for walks and cycling. Stonehenge and Avebury are also nearby. Walking distance to a farm shop, the pub is a 40 minute walk. A quick 6 minute drive into Devizes.

The main cottage has a large, newly refurbished kitchen at the centre of the home. A dining table to comfortably sit 6 people and new electric Aga (we turn this off in the warmer months). There is also an electric oven and hob. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. Booster seat and high chair available.

There are two sitting rooms, one with an Apple TV and wood burner.

The house was originally two workers cottages so there are two staircases leading upstairs. One side of the house hosts the master bedroom, baby/toddler bedroom and bathroom. The other side of the house has 2 connecting rooms with a queen bed in one room and single bed up a ladder in the other. There is an emergency crawl door between the 2 sides of the house. Any questions about this quirky layout - please ask.

There is a newly installed utility / boot room downstairs with washing machine and dryer with a sink and loo. The main bathroom upstairs has a newly installed shower and separate clawfoot bathtub.

Please note - one staircase is rather steep so small children may need to be monitored. It may also not be suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties. Be aware that the house is Grade II listed, almost 400 years old - it does have low doorways and ceilings.

There is an additional building, known as The Shudde, a few steps from the main house. This contains a large bedroom with a bathroom and small kitchen.

The garden is very large and boasts a well established variety of beautiful plants. An outdoor dining table to comfortably seat 8. You are welcome to use the Statler BBQ / Pizza Oven and help yourself to any of the vegetables growing in the greenhouse or on the fruit tress in the walled garden.

Parking in the driveway easily fits 2 cars, 3 at a squeeze.
