Ubicación fantástica
El 100 % de los últimos huéspedes han valorado con 5 estrellas la ubicación.
This 1 1/2 story 1917 bungalow offers a newly refurbished 2nd floor bedroom with an attached sitting room/play area. This cozy bedroom has a queen sized bed and an additional twin bed, so can easily accommodate 3.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we are accepting minimum 5-day stays if guests can assure us in good faith they have not been exposed and have no symptoms.

We donate a portion of airbnb income to the International Rescue Committee which responds to the world's greatest human needs.

El espacio
There is plenty of private space in the Bungalow Bedroom and attached sitting room, and it is separated from the rest of the home by a door at the bottom of the stairs.

It is well insulated and comfortable in summer and winter. Air conditioning is available, or windows may be opened to enjoy Fargo’s summer breezes. Each room has its own thermostat to control the base-board heat during the colder months.

In the sitting area between the bedrooms, there is a 30” television that receives about 15 local broadcast channels and is also ChromeCast enabled. You will find dvds, books, games and toys there as well.

It is important for guests to understand there is not a private bath. A shared bathroom is located on the main floor. A white board next to the bathroom door may be used to help schedule and coordinate bathroom usage. A pitcher of water and bowl are provided in the room for taking care of minimal toiletries if the bathroom is accupied.

(Please see our other listings for more or less space: Family Friendly Attic Suite...5-6 guests OR Bungalow Bunk Room...2 guests.)

Acceso de los huéspedes
Main floor spaces available to guests include the bathroom, enclosed front porch, kitchen and dining room. The kitchen and dining room may be used for coffee, tea, drinks, snacks, and a light breakfast. A water heating kettle is available for making coffee and tea. Guests may use the kitchen to make sandwiches, but cooking meals is not an option. Ice is available in the fridge. Guests are welcome to use the yard, including outdoor furniture and firepit. Wood is provided for fires, which must be attended and extinguished and covered when finished. Yard activities and noise levels must be respectful of neighbors. Smoking is permitted on the front porch and around the firepit.

Otros aspectos a destacar
A single shared bath in this historic home is important to note. We are accustomed to this, but some guests may not be. We have found with our family of five that a little communication and planning makes it very workable. The tub/shower is a 100 year old clawfoot cast iron type. Users must be agile enough to step over the side of the tub. A pitcher of water and bowl are provided in the room for taking care of minimal toiletries if the bathroom is accupied.

Ubicación

Fargo, Dakota del Norte, Estados Unidos

The Jefferson neighborhood is one of Fargo’s older core neighborhoods. It has mostly single family homes built between the late 19th century and the mid 20th century. Homes vary in size from large to tiny. Many of the streets have a canopy of mature American Elm trees. The neighborhood is very walkable and bicycle friendly. It is the most diverse neighborhood in the city. You can walk down the street to the park and watch children of new immigrants playing soccer nearly every day in spring, summer, and fall. It is a safe, friendly neighborhood with good lighting at night.

Russell and Colleen love the sharing economy--especially airbnb. They've been hosting guests from near and far in their cozy century-old bungalow since 2016. Russell's day job is as the Business Development Manager for Prairie Public Broadcasting, a regional public radio and television network based in Fargo. Colleen is changing careers and expects to be a registered nurse soon. They have three sons--Noah, John, and Gabe. The traveling they do is mainly to see these delightful young men and to cheer them on as they figure out how to share their gifts with the world. The other traveling they do is from the comfort of their own home, welcoming guests from all parts of the world and all walks of life. They can't wait to meet you!
