Peaceful country setting and cottage charm with a large front porch. This apartment is on a 300 acre nature lover's paradise. Creeks, trails, fishing pond, fire pit, and only about 3 miles from the small town of Spruce Pine. 2 full beds, full kitchenette, bathroom with tub/shower. Furnished with utilities and wi-fi included. Hike or drive to the pond stocked with bass and bluegill. Fishing license not required for private pond. Horses are on the property through a separate company.

Get away from the flat land heat! Enjoy a generally quiet peaceful setting by a clear mountain creek on a 300 acre farm. It is easy to access about a half mile from the US highway. Easy parking. The cottage is in the mountains but in a sweet little valley with a flat driveway. The fish pond is farther up the mountain accessed by the hiking trail or by gravel road. The cottage did not sustain any damage at all from Helene in case you're wondering. This is an older home converted into a duplex. The other unit is occupied by a quiet long term tenant with no problems. The large front porch is shared. This is such a sweet setting, but you're not completely isolated.

You will have access to everything in this unit plus the yard, creekside picnic areas, wooded hiking trails, stocked fish pond, and can even have space to garden if you're staying the whole season.

Otros aspectos a destacar
There is abundant wildlife on the property. Photographing is encouraged. You'll see whitetail deer grazing along with the horses. We currently have a large flock of about 20 wild turkeys wandering around as well. We have never had a problem with bears. They have been seen higher up on the mountain but are very shy, unlike those city bears. Also, note the eastern U.S. only has black bears, NOT grizzly bears. The main thing to know about black bears is if you ever encounter a cub, leave it alone. Also leave the baby deers alone. They are adorable, but don't interfere with nature.
