The old complex has three finely restored apartments and is located in the heart of Valdichiana, not far from the ancient medieval village of Lucignano. The layout of the rooms, the narrow passages that connect them and the architectural elements that come to light during the careful restoration work testify to the ancient origin of the convent building, nestled in a park characterized by centuries-old trees and ponds.

El espacio
The Agoraio apartment, with independent access, is located on the ground floor and occupies the entire surface of the complex. It consists of two bedrooms, an large central living room typical of nineteenth-century houses with fully equipped kitchen and a large bathroom with shower. From the main hall you access the garden that connects the structure to the ancient barn, now transformed into a charming and romantic patio, paved with stones recovered from the renovation work, which welcomes the aspidistra (large evergreen plant) and offers shelter to the sculpture of Venus discovered on the spot. To reach the magnificent park and the pool surrounded by roses, you cross a covered passage where is located the pizza oven and a large table to consume pleasant outdoor meals.

Acceso de los huéspedes
Guests will have exclusive access to the whole apartment, the use of the shared swimming pool with the guests of the remaining two apartments and enjoy private parking. Each apartment has an outside table, an umbrella and two deckchairs.

Otros aspectos a destacar
The apartments, finely restored respecting the original layout of the rooms, are furnished with furniture from the last century and cared for in every respect, paying particular attention to details through a careful selection of curtains, chandeliers and some Liberty style items. The park surrounding the complex offers visitors a stunning scenery characterized by vegetation and spontaneous plants set between hillocks and English gardens.
The photovoltaic system and the choice of materials used for restoration show particular attention to the environment and the eco-sustainability.

Ubicación

Pieve Vecchia, Toscana, Italia

The geographical location of Lucignano, in a dominant position between Siena and Arezzo, has made it strategically important since ancient times and, over the centuries from 1200 to 1500, resulted in the continuous passages of jurisdiction between Siena, Florence, Arezzo and Perugia.
The small village of Lucignano is one of the most extraordinary examples of medieval town planning, with its elliptical concentric rings, which have remained intact over the centuries. Walking through the narrow streets, between houses of stone and brick, we reach the heart of the village: the square of the Tribunal, which is overlooked by the Town Hall, the Church of St. Francis and the Collegiata. Inside the XIII century Town Hall building is the Museum, the keeper of Lucignano’s treasures: works of art from the Tuscan Middle Ages and Renaissance, among which stands the magnificent Golden Tree. Its impressive size (2.60 meters high) and the richness of the decoration (corals, crystals, miniature on parchment ..) make it an attraction for tourists from all over the world. The Tree is within the Sala delle Udienze, the Hall of the Audiences, all painted with frescoes dedicated to Illustrious Men, created on commission by the Priors of Lucignano in the XV century. Next to the municipal building there is the Franciscan complex dating from the XIII century that consists of the church and monastery. The church has a Gothic facade, realized with horizontal bands of sandstone and travertine, a clear influence of Siena, with an impressive travertine portal and a rose window in sandstone. The interior of the church contains a cycle of frescoes of the XIV-XV century, focused on the life of St. Francis, whose most famous image is the scene of the Triumph of Death painted by Bartolo di Fredi. The main church of Lucignano, however, is the XVI century Collegiate Church, located at the opposite end of the square and fronted by a beautiful travertine staircase designed by the Jesuit Father Andrea Pozzo, that matches the design of the ellipsoid urban structure of the town. In May, the village is colored and scented with flowers of the Maggiolata, a festival which commemorates the ancient rural celebrations for the arrival of Summer. The four districts of the village every year build floats entirely covered with flowers that parade through the streets of the town accompanied by farm carts and folk groups. The town's streets are full of restaurants where you can taste the traditional Tuscan dishes: Bruschetta, Ribollita, Pici and Chianina meat.

My name is Maria Luisa and I have two childrens. I live in Lucignano, a fabulous village in the Tuscan countryside. I love nature, healthy food and history. My house has a very long history that goes from the Middle Ages, where probably housed a monastery, going from 800 where it was the residence of a rich noble family, up to 900 where my family has made it a place of creativity focused on fashion. In fact, it was my mother Ebe who founded a clothing company that helped make Made in Italy known all over the world. For this reason I decided to dedicate the house to her, convinced that she would be happy! Siete i benvenuti, a presto:-)
