A colonial home that has maple wooden trim and tan colors on the inside. A fireplace is also available that we do not use and that isn't active but makes for nice decoration. All brick exterior with tile roofing and white pillars on the front porch. Lots of leather sofas and maple wooden trimmed dining table is also available. Conveniently located next to Newark International Airport and Downtown Newark (5 mins away, details in additional information), as well as parks and stores.

El espacio
A colonial home that is strategically located, provides a relaxing feel, and is in a safe neighborhood is not common, so please take advantage of what I have to offer. When walking into my house, there is a back space that has additional sofas and lighting from an entertainment unit that we have had for years on the left, more sofas and a flatscreen that constitutes our living room on the right. Straight ahead is the kitchen and the stairs leading to the basement (the private entrance is on the way down). Before you hit the kitchen is the stairs leading to where the bedrooms and the attic is on your left. The beds upstairs are all queen and king size beds, including the one in the attic (which is very spacious). The kitchen has a titanium fridge, utensils, kitchenware, sink, and other things at your disposal. There are 2.5 baths in the house (one full bathroom upstairs, one full bathroom in the basement, and a half-bath by the dining table on the ground level. One of the guest rooms have a TV so that could potentially be your room. The lighting is pretty good at our house despite the nice overlooking evergreen trees in the front and side. Driveway is available for parking.

Acceso de los huéspedes
The kitchen, living room, dining room, basement, attic, back space, driveway, and rooms are all accessible. The only room that will be off-limits is one of the smaller guest rooms, which is where I store my extra clothes and goods, as well as where I knit and sow my native clothing.

Streets and neighborhood around it is full of colonial houses built in the 1930s, so a lot of our neighbors are older people who are working or retired and with children. The park across the street makes it look very residential. Our house is within ten minutes of Downtown Newark, so as you head north and leave my neighborhood, the cityscape changes from residential to more urban.

Hi, my name is Patrick Mamudu. I am co-hosting this humble abode with my mother, Catherine Luke. We have lived in the Southward section of Newark, NJ since the early '80s. Our current interests are traveling, shopping, teaching (in various public high schools in the city of Newark, New Jersey), cooking, attending church every Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), movies, music, and medicine. Our ethnic origin is Nigeria, and we take pride in our culture. We love wearing our native culture clothes and also cooking many of the staple dishes from there (jollof rice, fried rice, moi moi, akara, suya, pounded yam, etc). A fun fact about Catherine is that she has been to several European countries during the '90s in order to sell many of the native clothing that is a staple in our country. I have been to London, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, France, Austria, etc. We are devout Christians and believe that God is the centerpiece of our life; he has been good to us. Our faith allows us to be hospitable hosts who value all of our guests. We take the extra step in making sure your stay is comfortable and feels just like home. We are also helpful in regards to movement within the Greater New York region.

As an Airbnb host, I am very hospitable and treat my guests as if they were my own family. I love to cook and would love to introduce my guests to some of my recipes. Hospitality is one of my culture's prime traits. I am very accessible, but also very respectful of space and non-invasive. Most of the day, I will be out working at the various high schools in the area where I teach as well as handling different errands. My husband might be available to answer any questions or assist, but when not available, the house is pretty much vacant. I only live with my husband currently.
