FLAT DESCRIPTION

We've renovated the apartment first in 2017 September and also did a full reno after covid in 2022 . So you can be sure that everything is new, modern, working and made for comfortable use.
Our main goal is that you have an amazing stay in Budapest and feel a little like home in the flat, so we used natural materials and neutral tones along with lot of textiles and soft lighting and DIY ideas to create a warm, cozy atmosphere.
There are a numbers of handmade furniture and decorations that make the interior unique and stylish. In addition, if you like wall art it’s fun to discover the details on our friend's wall paintings, who is a graffity artist.

The size of the flat is 24 m2 + 12 m2 loft (mezzanine), situated on the ground floor, so you don't need to use the stairs or the elevator to carry you luggage. The apartment has a 4,2 meter height, which provides you with a spacious feeling and makes it even possible to stand up in the mezzanine.
Here you'll find the romantic cave, which is designed to be very private, with a light curtain for the perfect mood before going to bed. There is also a nice big separate bedroom.

There is a spacious living room area with dining table and a lovely, well-equipped kitchen from where you can go up to the mezzanine.

There is a king size bed for two (180x200) with comfy, thick, string-mattress in the mezzanine and queen size mattress (160x200) in the bedroom too. Both with comfortable, warm blankets and soft linen.

KITCHEN

We’ve built a well-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, a DeLonghi Nespresso coffee machine and an electric stove where you can cook an entire dinner for up to 4 people. We’ve made sure you have a reasonable choice of kitchen tools to prepare a delicious meal.
Also we've prepared some basic ingredients for you such as; salt, pepper, sugar, olive oil, cinnamon and so.

In the bathroom we've built a spacious shower 130x90cm. We left enough space here for you to enjoy the whole nature inspired tiles in the bathroom. The toilet is also located in the bathroom.

There is a shared lobby before the apartment where you'll find the washing machine with the fabric softener and the powder.

THE BUILDING

The building was built in the mid 19th century. It's an old and beautiful building. Unlike the flat, the it has not been renovated yet, so it looks a little run down for first sight until you find Mediterranean vibe of it :) You'll find the different shades of blue and old shutters that makes this rustic building historical and inviting with great potential. When you step inside the Bohemian heaven, you'll find yourself in a whole different, brand new world and comfort :)

You cannot find more vibrant are in Budapest than the Király street. It represents perfectly the modern cultural atmosphere of the city since it is filled with small boutiques, galleries and endless eateries where you can aways find something new to discover. The cultural heritage along with the modern, hip vibes of the small shops and narrow streets attract most of the tourists and locals as well. What makes the location of our apartment even more special that it is located in the corner of Kazinczy street which has been so popular setting of therein years's ruin bar craze:) We'll definitely have a long list of our fave spots and recommendations.

We are Dorka and Levi, Budapestlovers. We lived in a smalltown in the suburb of Budapest. Since we found ourselves coming to the capital each second day, it seemed the best choice to move to the center of Budapest in 2015 winter. That was a great decision because we are enjoying the city pretty much! We love quality coffee and quality food. This makes Budapest a haven for us because the ongoing coffee- and food revolution brings tons of awesome places in our way. There are great places opening almost each week so we go out each week to try something new. And eventually you’ll be the absolute winner of our passion, because we’ll recommend you great, authentic places to go instead of the mainstream ;) We try to live the fitness lifestyle, which means we do lots of sports (cross fit, running, yoga, snowboarding, surfing – as the most beloved ones), go on foot where the distance is walkable in the city, buying – cooking – eating clean and organic. For keeping this up we love to discover those "behind the scenes", specialty sellers and the plenty of great market places that takes time to find. You’ll be welcome to join us if it’s something you’re interested in. We also love to discover Budapest on foot and public transportation. It’s like those historical cities where you realize the more you see, the less you know. So there is always something new to discover, or to get to know a new story about. We wouldn’t say we are the kings of the dance floor, we prefer concerts, live music and bars where you can chat and have a great time with friends. That doesn’t mean we’d never partied a lot, so if this is what you've came for, we've got loads of cool spots very close to our flats :) As hosts we are eager to show you that side of Budapest you came to see, so do not hesitate for a moment to ask, especially if you are interested in the authentic.
