Ubicación fantástica

Coyote Cabin is decorated in cozy, woodsy cottage style. There is a propane fireplace in the common area and plenty of windows. The kitchenette is well supplied with fridge, microwave, Breville countertop oven and 2 burner electric cooktop. The master has a king size bed with memory foam gel mattress and the sleeping nook has a full sized bed with the same quality mattress. There's a comfortable common area with a 6 foot leather couch and 2 cushioned chairs. The deck can be gated. Onsite host.

El espacio
We love this cabin. It's actually attached to a larger building in which our next cabin, the Kingfisher, is nearing completion on the west side of the property. The Coyote faces east.
It's cozy but there are comfortable spaces for privacy. There is a deck which can be gated off for your pets or little kids to remain safe .
There is A/C but it isn't necessary most of the time as the nights are beautifully cool and quiet with the windows open. Closing up the windows and shades during the day keeps it cooler and quieter inside. Summer is the busiest season in this high mountain region but winter is beautiful and also popular with guests who love winter sports or just like being in a winter wonderland.
We feel that this cabin is well equipped for light cooking and relaxation. Everything is new construction except for the bathroom which is updated. There are some fun touches that add charm. Our wifi is via satellite so it's certainly doesn't compare to urban areas or cable. It's OK for emails and browsing. We don't suggest having a working vacation using this internet. Streaming youtube videos may need your patience. Cell phone service is fair for the Verizon towers and poor for At&t service. The coverage gets better 3 miles down the road in Sierra Village.
We do provide a topographical map on the wall and trail guides for those who want to explore the forest around us. There are also dirt fire access roads on the ridges around us, which anyone can hike on. We can give you trailhead information for our closest hiking trails and most local trails in the region. Dog walking is convenient in our quiet neighborhood with all dead end streets.
Although we are about 250 feet from the main road we find that our proximity is very beneficial, especially when snow and ice make access more difficult. We use our own snowplow first thing in the morning, and the access is mostly flat. The county keeps highway 108 in drivable condition all day, even with heavy snows. Getting to skiing and sledding is very doable even after a big storm.
We've enjoyed every guest we've had and everyone has found this place to be just what they needed. Our goal is to make this property as nice as possible and we definitely listen to guest feedback.

Acceso de los huéspedes
This property has 3 acres of area which consists of a meadow, the structures area and a large pond. We do own the property all around the pond. Our pond is available for catch and release fishing with barbless hooks only. There are only small green sunfish in it and they keep the mosquito larvae well consumed.
Our old boat is available and young children and non swimmers should have life jackets. We have one toddler sized jacket and one adult sized as well. Adults should carry a fishing license. We ask that young children be accompanied by an adult when playing near the pond. The bottom gets deeper within a few feet from the edges.

Otros aspectos a destacar
We are Not close to YOSEMITE by car.
It takes 2 hours to drive to the Valley Floor. Day trips are certainly possible with an early start.
We do have road noise mainly in the summer as the road is about 200 to 250 feet away. At night it's very quiet. Summer is the busiest time. It doesn't seem to bother our guests. Our region's busiest time is from May 31st to September 1st.
We do have wild animals around. We share the forest with them and give them plenty of respect. Normally you will not ever see them and they may pass through at night. We've never seen a rattle snake in the 6 years we've been here but they may be here. Accompany your children anywhere in the area.
We are accessible in Winter after snowfalls. The highway is kept open and we plow our own private road and parking areas.

The neighborhood is beautiful with lots of trees and other vacation cabins around. A few cabins are permanent residences. Roads are all dead ends. The neighborhood is great for walking, running, riding bikes or finding nearby hiking trails.

I'm a semi retired person now launching a lodging business with my husband Michael. We are renovating an old Lodge property, saving it from a long period of neglect and terrible care. Our cabin is is the first unit to be completed for a rental, and we just finished turning an old bar/restaurant into our beautiful new home. This property is well known and loved by locals. When completed there will be 7 units: the cabin, 2 apartments and 4 single rooms. We do care, and this lovely property will be loved and cared for as it should be. We are pretty easy going people. We respect other's privacy and expect the same. Things we like: Great food, gorgeous scenery, good friends, happy family and our fur family...3 dogs.

Durante tu estadía
We live on site and are available when we're not traveling ourselves. It's fine to come to the door if there is an immediate need, but most guests email me with non emergent issues. We have a caretaker Tim who can help with small issues when we're away. Another tenant is also sometimes onsite who is a younger hispanic man. He's also eager to help out when needed but he works full time off site.
