My Home is located in a very quiet Campiello in Sestiere Santa Croce,only 6 minutes walk from the train station and Piazzale Roma, a few steps from Rio Marin and Campo San Giacomo dall’Orio.Nearby you will find markets for daily shopping,typical Venetian taverns and cafes.The apartment, which has just been renovated,is located on the mezzanine floor of a very characteristic pre-19th century building.Although it is only 45 square meters,it is well distributed and with all modern comforts.

The apartment is located on the ground floor of a four-storey period building. Access is independent with two steps.
The entrance leads immediately to the living room, where you will find a sofa, a smart TV and a small themed bookcase. Subsequently you enter the kitchen, separated from the living room, and equipped with all the appliances necessary for cooking, heating and washing dishes.
In the kitchen there is also a fridge with freezer compartment and a washer-dryer. From the kitchen you can access the anteroom, equipped with sink, courtesy set and first aid kit; to the bathroom, where you will find toilet, bidet and shower. Also from the kitchen you finally reach the double bedroom equipped with an open wardrobe, safe box and smart TV.

IO E VENEZIA Nonostante vi ci abbia comprato casa, non posso certo sostenere di conoscere Venezia come le mie tasche: pur avendo una nonna nativa dell'Isola di Burano, non sono una veneziana, ma una torinese dal sangue misto terribilmente affascinata da una città a forma di pesce che trova le sue fondamenta nell'acqua salata del mare. Trovarmi a Venezia priva di senso dell'orientamento non mi spaventa, anzi, mi invita ad iniziare a camminare, a smarrirmi tra le calli, scoprendo, ammirando, inseguendo quei dettagli che solo una città dalla storia millenaria può offrire. Archi a tutto sesto, mattoni a vista, bassorilievi, e poi altane, corti, pozzi, ponti, sottoporteghi, colori, profumi; non c'è un angolo che si ripeta, è tutto straordinariamente unico! L'impronta bizantina dona alla città quel tocco di esotico che ti porta inevitabilmente a sognare, e l' espressione più immediata non può essere altro che "Meraviglioso!". Ma Venezia non è solo stupore; Venezia è curiosità, è tradizione, è "il veneziano"! Dimenticatevi della tecnologia e passeggiate col naso all'insù. Noterete che ogni calle, al posto dei classici cartelli indicanti le vie, possiede il suo "Nizioleto", rigorosamente eseguito a mano e ribattuto nel momento in cui il salso e il tempo lo portano a perdere di brillantezza. Di alcuni di questi mi piace andarne a scoprire la toponomastica, talora piuttosto eloquente. Ad esempio, il "Ponte de le tette" pare abbia tale denominazione perché nei pressi di esso le meretrici comparivano sulle porte e alle finestre con i seni scoperti. Oppure "Campiello del Pestrin", ove, ai tempi della Serenissima, erano presenti i Pestrineri, gli artigiani che lavoravano il latte. E che dire di "Calle Stretta"?! Appena 65 cm di larghezza! Insomma, è veramente impossibile non farsi rapire da tanta magnificenza e stravaganza, un cocktail perfetto che rende Venezia una delle città storiche più belle al mondo. Potrei andare avanti per ore a raccontarvi un'infinità di belle storie, ma preferisco lasciarvi a disposizione la mia Casa e darvi modo di scoprirle direttamente, magari proprio come faccio io...perdendovi...disorientandovi...vagabondando...facendo della vostra meta l'emozione, la sensazione, l'ispirazione lasciata da ogni singolo passo. VENICE AND ME Despite the fact that I bought a house there, I can't say that I know Venice like the back of my hands: although my grandmother comes from the Isle of Burano, I don’t come from Venice, but I’m a mixed blood girl from Turin, terribly fascinated by a city shaped like a fish and built on the salt water of the sea. Being in Venice without a sense of direction doesn't frighten me, in fact it invites me to start walking, to get lost in the streets, discovering, admiring, chasing those details that only a city with a millennial history can offer. Round arches, exposed bricks, bas-reliefs, and then altane, courtyards, shafts, bridges, sotoporteghi, colors, perfumes; every corner is different, everything is extremely unique! The Byzantine style gives to the city that exotic touch that inevitably leads you to dream, and the most immediate expression can only be “Wonderful!”. But Venice is not only astonishment; Venice is curiosity, tradition, it‘s “the Venetian”! Forget about technology and walk around with upturned noses. You will notice that each street, instead of classic signs indicating its name, has its "Nizioleto", rigorously handmade and reversed when the sauce and the time lead him to lose brilliance. I like discovering the toponimy of some of them, sometimes quite revealing. For example, the Ponte de le tette (“the bridge of the breasts”) seems to be called this way because of the whores appearing in front of the doors and the windows with their uncovered breast. Or Campiello del Pestrin, where at the time of the Serenissima there were the Pestrineri, the artisans working the milk. And what about Calle stretta (“narrow street”)? Just 65 cm wide! Well, it’s really impossible not to be kidnapped by this magnificence and extravagance, a perfect mixture that makes Venice one of the most beautiful historical cities in the world. I could continue like this for hours and keep telling you an infinity of beautiful stories, but I prefer to leave you my Home and give you the opportunity to discover them directly, maybe just like I do… losing yourself… bewildering… wandering… allowing the emotion, the feeling, the inspiration left by each single step to become your destination.
