The house is located cross the river San Francisco, in Jucanyá where local indigenous people live. The neighborhood, “el barrio” as we call here in Guatemala is not fancy with narrow streets

During the school season, you can see the children coming and going from school. Most of the people who live there are poor and if you talk to them, they are very friendly and can give you directions if you need to find something, they know everything around because most of them works on restaurants and pubs over Calle Santander.

You can knock the next door Neighbor “Don Demetrio” who own a boat and can take you to any place by boat.

At night there is a lads who sell food near the house. There are many tortillas lady’s seller also.

3 blocks from the house, you can get to the beach and from there if you walk to the left you can find good places to swim but if you choose the right you reach the river, seldom of shops and the famous Calle Santander.
