This real estate of modern architecture and sculptural design is composed of a main floor and two complimentary ones with extraordinary views to the sea, beach, mountains and seafront of Gijón

El espacio
It is oriented towards the south and has great windows where the sun shines all day long. With bright rooms, great living spaces, a big veranda and a garden, this house also offers a lot of privacy thanks to the design of the trees that surround the plot. All of these qualities allow you to enjoy a very functional, singular and unique real estate.
It is strategically located at the crossroad of where countryside and city meet, so you can either walk directly to the city or walk to the rural area following the coastline. The distance to the city is less than one km if you take the seafront (there is also a bus stop close by), and the same path continues 10 km along the coast with access to several beaches. Moreover, the area surrounding the house is quiet and spacious, having both urban services and shopping centres within close reach.
Gijón (and its surroundings) is a historical enclave that dates from the Roman times due to its central location in the geography of Asturias. This geography has indeed a great variety of landscapes with magnificent natural beaches, unique Atlantic forests and the Cantabria Mountains (where the famous “Picos de Europa” are located).

Acceso de los huéspedes
Gijón, the main urban centre of Asturias, is a city whose inhabitants are kind and open-minded with visitors. Gijón is very active and offers many sports and leisure activities, especially ones linked to the sea, as well as having many sports centres that any visitor can use. Furthermore, there are many events during the summer such as concerts, fairs and festivals.
In addition, the location of the house in the residential area of Gijón, in the centre of Asturias and well-communicated with the rest of the region, allows you to quickly access all the natural and cultural areas of the territory.
The motto of this region is “Asturias, a natural paradise” is. There are indeed many wild beaches where you can walk and swim, such as Torimbia and Gulpiyuri in the east or Barayo and Silencio in the west; unique mountains that are ideal for climbing and hiking, such as the “Picos de Europa” (the tallest and most visited ones of the Iberian Peninsula and where the famous “Ruta del Cares” is located) or the National Park of Covadonga; enormous autochthonous forests like Pelono, Redes, Muniellos or the nature park of Somiedo with its original “teitos”; pre-historical caves such as the “Tito Bustillo”; and the possibility to go kayaking in the rivers, just to name a few attractions.
All this makes for a region with several of the main attractions for ecotourism in Spain.

Otros aspectos a destacar
Asturias not only offers nature but also culture. For instance there is the unique preromantic art with monuments such as the Santa Maria del Naranco, the San Miguel de Lillo or the Valdedios; the gothic cathedral of Oviedo or the historical building of the University of Oviedo. There are many different museums (Arts, Jurasic, Mine, Cider, etc.). In Gijón you can also visit the Laboral University, the Evaristo Valle Museum or the Ethnographic Museum, and in Aviles you can find the “Niemeyer Centre”.
There are also quite a few medieval villages (Llanes, Villaviciosa, Avilés, etc.) linked to the Camino de Santiago in the north and characterised by their historical centres and unique “Indian” architecture, which is the result of the Asturian emigration to America.
Last but not least, the region's gastronomy, very characteristic due to its history and geography, is diverse and of high quality. The vast and abrupt coast produces a great variety of fish and seafood, and the countryside and mountains have boosted the quality of the meat and the many different regional cheeses. Two typical dishes are the “fabada”, made from beans that are cultivated in the flood plains, and rice milk, which has its origin in the great link between Asturias and America. The typical drink is cider (from apples), which is drunk in a shared glass in “sidrerías” (specialised local bars that can be found all over the place). There are also several restaurants that have even been recognised by the “Michelin Guide”.
Welcome and ENJOY!

Bienvenid@.
