Located in the Max Dormoy area, it is at the confluence of African, Indian, North African and Chinese Paris so the mix of shops and people on the street is one of the most interesting in the city.

It is well served in terms of transport because metro line 12 goes straight to Montmartre and on to Place de la Concorde and Montparnasse. There are 2 different bus lines (35 & 65) which serve both Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est, so connections to anywhere else in Paris are very simple from there.
