Our house "komorebi" was created through our vision of wanting to create a space for artists and creatives. The two mandala murals are at the heart of the home promising you a spiritual sanctuary. Our home features wooden interior and tatami floors mixing Western and Eastern style.

The gallery hallway features artist DAIJIRO HAMA and RYOSUKE HIROTA leading to the fully renovated bathroom with shower and washing machine. In the back part of the house is the WHITE MANDALA living room/bed room with a view of the tsuboniwa garden.

Once you climb the stairs to the second floor you will find the BLACK MANDALA bedroom, living room with the retro massage chair and many more discoveries.

Between the two of us we have lived/traveled in France, America, England, Germany, Israel, Egypt, Hungary, Poland, Belgium, India, Nepal, Turkey etc. Yoshi is currently a Shiatsu massage student in Kyoto. Recently practicing how to play the hand pan. Ariya is currently a Buddhist priest and an event organiser here in Kyoto. Born in Kyoto, raised in Berkeley, California she moved back to Kyoto after studying Geography at the University of Chicago. Hobbies include sewing and sleeping. Between the two of us, it's fair to say that we know Kyoto like the back of our hand....but still discover gems in this city everyday.
