Bryngwyn is a beautiful former farmhouse, in the charming Welsh village of Llanegryn, set in the stunning Dysynni Valley. The spacious guest room overlooks the large garden and has its own WC/shower room, tea & coffee making facilities. There is ample parking on the premises and a garage for storing bikes.

El espacio
Bryngwyn is a seventeenth-century former farmhouse set in several acres of garden and woodland - with a number of outside seating areas guests can enjoy the gardens at their leisure. Breakfast is served in the large kitchen which has an inglenook fireplace and beautiful yellow Aga.

A continental breakfast of cereals, homemade museli and yoghurt, toast/pastries, local eggs, fruits (in season), and a selection of preserves together with tea and fresh coffee, and/or juice, is served from 8.00am till 9.30 am in the farmhouse kitchen.

The spacious, modern guest room has views over the large garden and up to high hills. The guest area is very private, and has its own shower-room and WC, tea and coffee making facilities. There is safe parking on the premises, and a large secure garage for bikes. Guests are welcome to use the television in the library during their stay. Wifi access is available for portable devices.

The house is only two miles from the sea and lies close to the foot of Bird Rock and Cadair Idris. The local hills are dotted with bronze and iron-age remains. There are dozens of excellent walks direct from the house, some low-level leading to the thirteenth-century Castell-y-Bere, others more demanding onto high moorland and on to Bird Rock, and Cadair Idris itself.

The Sustrans National Cycle Route No.82, runs past the drive.

We are only six miles from the small seaside town of Tywyn with its world-famous preserved railway, excellent affordable restaurants, good supermarkets, leisure centre, pool and a great independent cinema, The Magic Lantern.

Four miles of perfect sandy beaches offer good bathing, easy walking, kite surfing, watersports and golf at the famous links in Aberdyfi.

We are 20 minutes from Tal-y-Llyn, and the world-famous RAF's 'Mach Loop'. Only 30 minutes from Dolgellau and Machynlleth and 15 minutes from Aberdyfi where there are good pubs, restaurants and cafes. Aberystwyth is 50 minutes south and the Centre for Alternative Technology is 40 minutes away.

Acceso de los huéspedes
Access is through the main house door and emergency exit is also available next to the guest room.

Otros aspectos a destacar
The house has plenty of books including mountain guides and maps, all of which are available to guests.

An extra guest room is available by arrangement for £45 per night (max 2 persons).

I came to Wales from London thirty years ago to climb a mountain, fell in love with this valley and I've lived here ever since. I have been a teacher but now work as a freelance screenwriter and playwright. I get enormous pleasure and satisfaction from sharing my love of this area, of books, plays and music.

Durante tu estadía
I have lived in Llanegryn for thirty years and was a very active mountaineer, rock-climber and walker both here and abroad. I have an intimate knowledge of the area and a deep love of this particular valley.
