This is an amazing vacation home situated on 10 acres of property across from the lake with a private outlot/pier (owned) on Big Saint Germain Lake. Silence of the wilderness is complete, yet a 2 mile drive to grocery, etc. Completely renovated in 2019 - new appliances, new rooms, new furniture - the works. It is truly a walk-in vacation home. Also features a fenced-in area of the yard, fire-pit. Four bedrooms, 3.5 baths, sleeps 10 comfortably, ground-level basement with a bar and pool table.

This is a new listing as of January 2020. All items listed in this description as "new" have been added/replaced between July 2019 and January 2020. A few details --

Kitchen - New Fridge, New Microwave, New Toaster oven (both ovens have convection features) - all top brands; Power Room - Completely remodeled - all new toilet, sink, faucets, Mirror, Wainscot;
Master Bath - new shower (glass); New mirror, light fixtures;
Laundry - First floor - New Washer and Dryer;
Great Room - New screen doors and screens throughout lower-level; New, modernized electric (Caseta Wireless - auto/programmable on/off, tied into Alexa commands); All new decorations;
Loft - New desk fashioned from farmhouse doors, New Fan units; New sleeper sofa;
New furniture throughout - Master bedroom (bed, box/mattress, furniture), new 47" flat panel wall mounted w/Direct TV and Netflix; New bedroom furniture, box/mattresses in all other bedrooms;
Bathrooms - New toilet, fixtures and mirrors in upstairs/downstairs bathrooms;
New paint throughout entire home.

There is a very warm 'feel' to the home; Great room fireplace is to die for - heats the entire house with auto blower unit - always a face cord of kiln dried firewood available; above fireplace is a new 65" flat panel smart TV w/Direct TV and Netflix. Dual zone Furnace/Air Conditioning (upstairs/downstairs - separate settings); ATS power generator should the utility power fail.

The basement (above ground) has a large seating couch that will easily seat 6 or sleep two very comfortably. Projection TV w/Direct TV and Netflix, DVD; Pool table and large wet bar. Bathrooms are on every level - Basement w/shower; main level - powder room and master bath; and upstairs bedrooms have a common bathroom with a very large soaking tub and shower. Master bath has an enormous whirlpool in it.

There are three outdoor seating areas --- Stone patio in the front of the house; upstairs, second level deck that wraps around the entire house, excepting the (Westerly) facing porch, which is a three-season screened-in porch attached to the house - screen door to the deck, entry door to the house, and window to the kitchen. The front and side yards are grass - about 1.5 acres. The side yard is fenced (picket 4') and has a firepit with natural stone bolder seating. The property has a circular drive, will fit 4 cars easily in the summer; in the winter there is plenty of room for two vehicles towing trailers.

The lake access "outlot" is located about 400 yards west of the property. This is a .6 acre wooded lot with an access path to the private pier. The water is shallow with a sandy bottom. The house is situated on 10 acres of owned land. There are trails that can be hiked - some decently steep climbs up/down - a beautiful piece of land.

There are a lot of animals that trek through the property on a regular basis -- deer (of course), Black Bears, Fox, Bobcat, Raccoons, etc. An amazing array of birds, including humming birds.

The street is very, very quiet - hardly a sound in the evening. All adjacent properties are of a similar size - single family homes (can't see them from the property) of a similar 'cabin in the woods style'. It's 2.3 miles to the town of St. Germain - you'll find the basics there - grocery, gas, coffee and restaurants, sporting goods stores, hardware store, bait and tackle and boat/ATV/snowmobile rentals.

You'll have full run of the house. There is a 5 car garage on the property. I will consider special request access to the heated 2-car garage in the winter months if required to work on your snowmobile or skiing equipment.

A few things to note, that may be of interest or opportunities for you:

1) There are a number of antique items in the house - please respect their age and their fragile nature (none are located within a child's reach);
2) All guests have access to Internet, Direct TV (standard package plus HBO and ESPN) and Netflix. If you order something (or your kids do, please leave the dollars to pay for it behind);
3) Please do NOT leave food outside. This is the Northwoods, and I have personally seen groups of Black Bear trundle through the yard; Bobcats, Foxes, Deer, Raccoons, Possums, Wild Turkeys - you name it - on the property, on the grounds next to the house. And the Red and Black tail squirrels will feast on just about anything;
4) Mosquitoes are not a big deal - there just are not a lot of them - however I supply the candles for the deck and screened porch. But there are plenty of non-biting insects - So I also supply the bug spray and sunscreen spray-on containers. In Spring/early Summer, there are many dragon flies. Throughout the Spring/Summer, there are many hummingbirds that nest in the smaller pines;
5) I provide all towels, bed linens, hand and dish soap and shower (bar, packaged) soap, dishwasher detergent and 9 volt (backup) smoke alarm batteries - (you don't want to listen to the 'beep' of smoke alarms during your vacation (!)) - and toilet paper and paper towels;
6) Snow removal and Lawn care is contracted. Snow removal occurs at the END of a > 4" inch snowfall - plowing of the drive only; Lawn care/shrubs is every other week. Snow melt containers and shovels are provided;
7) Cleaning. Homekeepers wash linens, towels, etc., and clean on a before/after visit basis. If you are staying more than seven (7) nights, I will request an adjustment to the schedule to accommodate your personal schedule;
8) Food and Beverages: I will shop for you in advance of your stay if desired, but you must provide notice at least a week in advance, and be specific - you might not care about the brand of butter or eggs, but you will absolutely care about your brand of beer/wine/liquor, or what you will want to pay per pound for a roast or a ribeye steak. There are a few great butcher shops in the area I use regularly, and the 'Trigs' grocery in Minocqua has excellent Lobster tails, shrimp and salmon. Recall that liquor sales end at 9:00 PM in Wisconsin. I have cases of beer, soft drinks on premise, plenty of wine and whiskey - and I'll answer your call of distress if available, and provide an access code. Just don't count on me exclusively :-)
8) The house has Arlo security cameras in the great room and basement, and two cameras facing the entrances /circle drive. The system is disabled during guest stays unless otherwise requested (external cameras only).
9) Lutron Caseta lights/dimming automatically turns on/off lights at sunset/sunrise and great room can lighting turns on at dusk. Alexa can be utilized to turn lights on/off.

The home is located on Big Saint Germain Drive and is set back some 300+ feet from the road - barely visible, a very private residence. There are many homes of similar size / property on the drive. There are two excellent eateries on Big Saint Germain Drive - "Fibbers" and "Clearview Supper Club" - they are both about a mile/mile and a half West on the Drive. There are also boat launches and ATV/snowmobile/hiking trail access off of the Drive.
