This tiny house is a fun, rural, off-grid retreat into nature. Come enjoy lots of wildlife and unlimited hiking on your way to the Grand Canyon via the scenic highway 180 from Flagstaff. Explore the Arizona trail, Abineau canyon, Bear Jaw trail, Pat springs, and much more! Nearby is potato tank; a water reservoir where deer, elk, fox, hawks, etc come to drink. Located approximately 25 miles north of Flagstaff on the north face of the San Francisco peaks (Mt Humphreys) Built in 2018.

El espacio
This tiny house is 392 sq ft with a full kitchen, bath, and dining area carefully situated below a spiral staircase that leads to a loft divided by a closet. It has two widows and two brand-new queen beds with feather pillows. We have a small cot to set up for bigger families. *If your family is larger please send an inquiry! We are fine if you are a "snuggly" family or if you'd like to bring a tent. The non-structural lumber was milled by our own mill from trees harvested on our private property. The cabin is entirely powered by solar and a handy instant hot water heater. We truck water up the mountain and store it underground. The full sized stove is propane. You’ll be surprised at the efficiency of the space that accomodated our family of 5 for nearly 2 years while we built our dream home! We hope you enjoy the great sleep in this quiet place and the rejuvenation of the wide open outdoors!

Acceso de los huéspedes
The open grassy area near the cabin and the entire cabin is yours to enjoy. The pasture behind the cabin is for our grazing animals. Please do not enter the pasture with animals.
Driving info: there are dirt roads to our place and while we drive a Camry and small cars, if you aren’t confident with off-road travel and how to place your tires arrange for a higher riding vehicle. It’s a beautiful drive!

Otros aspectos a destacar
We have a livestock guardian dog. He is a working dog so it’s best if you mostly ignore him. Don't worry, he gets lots of love! Please don’t feed him (he has a sensitive tummy).
Also please do not enter the green house/plant area or pick up the chickens. Thanks! :-)

My family and I have been living in Flagstaff since 2007 and love it here. We love the small town feel with lots of outdoorsy people. We love farm-style life and bought our 11 acres in 2017 with the intention of eventually starting a high-altitude dairy farm. Raising and homeschooling our 4 kids has taken priority for now, but we still have horses and chickens and do a little hobby garden. My husband loves running and mountain biking insane distances (in my opinion) And we live in the perfect place to hop on a bike off the front porch and go anywhere! For me, I’d prefer to take my horse all over these hills and I doubt I’ll ever be able to explore every place! So fun! Indoors, we are foodies! We love quality and make things like our own aged cheeses from our backyard cow. Once we made a pizza with a cheese crust and left out the bread altogether. I have celiac disease but love to bake so I’ve invented and experimented a lot! I love quilting and sewing of all kinds, paper crafting, and card making. Teaching and biology are really my passion tho, as these little people God has blessed us with are so precious to us! Recently my husband is interested in the woodsman thing and has bought a band saw sawmill with his best buddy. They have been making log cabins and lumber so far and plan to make a barn and garage someday.
