Victorian Dream # 109 is a Sears Roebuck kit home built in 1908. Not many people know that Americans were able to purchase an actual HOME through the Sears Modern Home Catalog, which came out in 1908. All building materials and blueprints needed to assemble the house were provided by Sears, and arrived by mail or rail to the building site. The pieces were pre-cut for easy assembly and fit together sort of like Legos, so buyers could build the houses themselves or hire contractors. Home buyers could order everything from the Sears catalog - light fixtures, lamps, wall covering, kitchen cabinets, heating system and garage! About 75,000 homes were sold by Sears during those years; approximately 50,000 still exist today. Victorian Dream # 109 cost about $5,000 to build in 1908.

This Victorian home offers its residents a gracious lifestyle. Featuring a wraparound porch, large eat in kitchen, Dining Room for 6+ people, Living Room with piano, this home has been enjoyed and loved by families for more than 110 years. With 3 bedrooms (plus queen size sofa bed in the main floor Game Room, and 4 bathrooms, there is room for togetherness as well as privacy. Just a block to Main Street brewery, restaurant and stores in beautiful downtown Lead, South Dakota. Enjoy the home's porch, with cafe tables and grill.
