The 3-rooms ground floor converted loft (80 m2) with 3 separate beds is located on a quiet street, 3 min on foot away (325 m) from the next subway station. Ideal for families with kids! Direct line brings you in 10 min to the center of East Berlin (Alexanderplatz). Very authentic district to feel the spirit of the city. Host lives in the next apt and is at your disposal. No partys!

§ (1) DEFINITION (1)

Loft conversion is converting non-residential spaces (most commonly warehouses, docks, former factories or water towers) into habitable homes. This form of loft conversion has its origins in the USA. This form of loft first became popular in the SoHo section of New York City during the 1960s. Artists created living spaces on the upper levels of obsolete industrial buildings, sometimes located in the heart of the city. In the pioneering period of lofts, most SoHo buildings were not zoned as residential and the lofts were being used illegally as living space. In 1971, New York City legalised the residential use of space in SoHo, and loft living became popular throughout the neighbourhood. (Wikipedia)

§ (2) ABOUT THE LOFT (2)

Berlin has a fame of "cool city", "city of freedom", "exceptional city, which deserves undivided attention". It´s not that sophisticated as Paris and not so posh as London, but the city also has its own taste and colours, which you´ll never confuse. And as the loft is located in the heart of the most contradictive and magnificent district of East Berlin, which is being gentrificated, completely rebuilt and changes its face every year, I decided to create a loft, which would correspond to the surrounding. So I tried to create here something really cool & extraordinary, not just to convert a former stinky and abandoned backery into a residential space, but into a place with its own unrepeatable charm. Nevertheless it has everything what a classic converted loft should have: industrial history, almost 4 meters high ceilings and huge windows.

That´s why this loft has a special target audience: it´s a place for modern and arty groups of travelers, who know what "cool place" means :) Especially families with kids, honeymoon couples and just travellers, who would like to experience something new, are welcome here! That would be also a great choice for those of you, who would like to stay in an unusual place with an absolutely unique atmosphere, who don´t chase comfort, but need mostly cool design and stylish ideas.

The loft has its own charming history: it used to be a small local backery, famous for its fresh croissants in the whole neighborhood. But life didn´t give any chances to this small enterprise and it was closed during corona crisis. Some time ago I decided to take this place and convert it into a stunning loft. Despite more than 100 years of "backing history" I didn´t leave any recollection about the intended use of this place. The idea was to transform it as dramatically as possible, so that nobody can even guess what was here before.

The loft consists of 3 separate rooms: 2 x bedrooms and living room with a kitchen corner.
Both rooms are designed in calm warm colours.

In the 1. BEDROOM you´ll find a doublebed (fullsize; 140x200), a big writing table, a couple of night tables and a plenty of space. As the loft is situated on the ground floor, I tried to put carpets in the bedroom - don´t care about cold feet. The 2. BEDROOM was supposed to be a kid´s bedroom. There´re 2 separate single beds and a babybed. Besides that you´ll also find a writing table and a couple of night tables in the room.

The LIVING ROOM was planed to be a place for chilling and dining. It has 2 main zones: a kitchen zone and a chilling zone, which are splited by a huge table for 6 persons. The kitchen zone is just a small corner, which is not really suitable for real cocking: it´s equipped with washing-mashine, induction cooking field, fridge with freezer, cattle, toaster and microvawe. Please, don´t expect a top-kitchen from "Vanity Fair", coz it´s not quite neccessary in the city, where you can have a dinner for 15€. The sleeping zone in the living room is determined by a little couch with a huge amount of decorative couchins and a couch table.

The BATHROOM was renovated 2020 and got an absoluetly new modern look. So the square of the bathroom is quite big and besides WC itself, there´s only a shower сabin, a wash basin and a lot of space here.


A) Party-guests are NOT WELCOME here! Please, do not celebrate anything or listen to the music here. The sound isolation of this house unfortunatelly reflects its 120 years old history. Please, keep in mind, that the host is your neighbor in the house... We do not make any exceptions :)

B) The loft is situated on the GROUND FLOOR. This means, that you are directly on the street, when you open the door. The door has a special construction: it´s absolutely safe and can´t be opened from the street without the key - so nobody can disturb you, when you are inside. It´s an absolutely quiet sidestreet, where nothing happens, but still can be overwhelming for people from small towns or living in the countryside, who are not used to the city noise in the background.

D) It´s not the best location for those of you, who would like to discover classic sights. Some people say, this neighbourhood is "far from everything". In fact it´s far from West Berlin, which many tourists understand or recognize as city center (Kurfürstendamm). It´ll take you about 30 minutes to get to Kurfürstendamm and West Berlin itself and there´s no direct way. But you shouldn´t forget, that Berlin is not a little village. There´re neighbourhoods, where you would need at least an hour by underground to get to the center. Moreover the center of East Berlin - Alexanderplatz - are just 5 undeground stops away from the loft. So it´s not that bad, in my opinion, but I understand those people, who would like to see Brandenburg Gate from the window. I would wish it too! :)

- Climate control (Under climate control I understand the "magic" system, which maintains the constant temperature independently on the season: when it´s too cold, it heats up the space, and when it´s too hot - cools down. So there´s no climate control in the loft).

But of course there´s a conventional heating system, which is a constructing standard in Germany. This means you can not build a house without heating by law. The heating can only heat up the space, but can not cool it down, if it´s too hot.

§ (3) ABOUT ME (3)

As I´m a hard-working person and a dad of 2 kids at the same time, in many cases I won´t be able to meet you personally. But I always arrange a solution and in 99% cases we have self check-in. In case of any difficulties there´s always someone, who takes care of you.

§ (4) PARKING (4)

Parking along the street is absolutely free of charge. You can leave your car at every available parking spot. If there´re no parking places along the street, please, drive to the end of the street, where another long street is located. Here you´ll definitely find a place to park.


The loft is situated in Friedrichshain - it´s the name of the district, which administratively belongs to "Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg". It´s regarded to be a cool neighbourhood in the recent times. It´s an old industrial district with a lot of nice buildings from the beginning of the XX. century.
It´s not a touristic place in general, but there´re some streets, where you´ll hardly see any local. It is famous for it´s atmosphere of freedom and multiculturalism. It´s not fancy and is inhabbitated with "easy" people. It also offers very good infrastructure. It´s symbol is a variety of different restaurants (Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, Turkish, Arabian), shopping malls and supermarkets. Friiedrichshain provides an unforgettable multicultural flair, which in the future will attract more and more people to move here.
