A dónde irás

Victor, Montana, Estados Unidos

Victor is a small town in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley bordering the Bitterroot River about 12 minutes drive north of Hamilton and 40 minutes drive South of Missoula.

Victor is named for Chief Victor of the Bitterroot Salish Tribe, whose proper name was Xweɫxƛ̣ ̓cín (Many Horses). Chief Victor met Lewis and Clark when he was 15 years old in September 1805 at Ross' Hole and later he would refuse to cede the Bitterroot Valley to the United States' Washington Territory. After Chief Victor's death in 1870, the Salish people were forced to move to the Flathead Reservation where they remain to this day.

The townsite was platted in 1881. Repeal of the Sherman Silver Purchase Act in 1893 hit Victor hard, forcing many of the local mines to close. The economy rebounded in the late 1890s with the growth of the timber industry and agricultural enterprises.

Today, Victor's population is under 900 people and consists of cattle and horse ranches, orchards and agriculture distributed across 320 acres. There are families that have been here for generations and newcomers, all drawn to this valley for the fertile land, sweeping views and proximity to the river with some of the best fishing in the Western United States.

I am a nationally touring Singer Songwriter first and foremost but I also work as a contractor in graphic and product design when I'm not on the road touring. Interests range from art, music production, traveling, cooking and the outdoors. I'm easy to get along with, tidy and I like to think that I have a positive outlook on most things. Originally from California but I have lived all over the US from Nashville to Seattle to New York City and a few places in between. Always had my eye on The Bitterroot Valley and feel so lucky to now call it home. Favorite Travel Destination: I was huge fan of Iceland and have a soft spot for Europe. I studied abroad in Florence, Italy for a year - so Italy is also definitely close to my heart. But would love to see more of the world when I have the time and money to do so. Five Things I Can't Live Without: 1. Music 2. Food 3. The Outdoors 4. My Family 5. My Laptop ... and not necessarily in that order. Fun fact about me: I performed a Stevie Wonder song in a Scandinavian insurance commercial making me mildly famous across the pond for five minutes, :)
