Peaceful glamping in the Canadian Rockies, close to Radium Hot Springs & Kootenay National Park
*This is a shared site with 3 glamping tents*

El espacio
This 5m canvas bell tent on a spacious wooden deck comfortably sleeps 4 in real beds with mattresses (you bring bedding). Kick back in the iconic adirondack deck chairs or join your group at one of the 2 firepits (firewood included) to watch the gorgeous sunsets or star gaze to your heart's content. No light pollution here.

The tent is one of three located on a shared 1-acre site within 600+ private acres.

The site is easily accessible from the highway but is somewhat remote, so be prepared to drive approx. 4 kilometers on gravel. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended. Limited parking is available adjacent to site; more parking located 300m away but gear drop-off is available adjacent to the site. We provide a gear buggy for transporting your gear down to the tent site (approx. 50m from parking.)

We provide the tents, beds, mattresses, adirondack chairs, folding chairs, picnic tables, kitchen shelter with prep counters (you bring pots, plates, utensils etc), sink, and running non-potable water for washing up, a handwash sink with running non-potable water, 2x bear storage lockers, 3x campstoves (you bring propane), a shared BBQ (you bring propane), 2x firepits, firewood, 2x outhouses , TP, outdoor cold-ish shower.

We will provide a suggested list of gear to make your stay an awesome one.

Enjoy miles of private trails, see signs of deer, elk, and bear, listen to the birds. Our site is located on 600+ private acres on the west side of the Rocky Mountains. Your proximity to the Columbia Wetlands and Kootenay National Park means you are in Mother Nature’s backyard – deer and elk sightings are common, and black bears frequent the property although they are quite shy and avoid humans as much as possible. The Wetlands are home to over 300 species of birds – feast your eyes on eagles, turkey vultures, pileated woodpeckers and listen to the swoop of nighthawks at sunset. Hike on our private trails which meander through shady glades, strawberry fields, or open benches with views of the valley for hundreds of kilometers in each direction.

My partner Adrian and I live off-grid in the BC Rockies and have an outdoor tourism and recreation business called Back 40 Outdoor Events on our 600+ acre mountainside property. We both enjoy the outdoor life and adventurous travel, having trekked/ridden/skied in Nepal, Mongolia, South Africa, Ecuador, Europe. We have a labrador/husky cross named Roxy and a black lab named Islay who also love the outdoor vibe.
