Boat ramp is only 200 metres away, that provides access to McMillan Straight, Lake King, Lake Victoria and all the rivers connecting. Good fishing is to be had from the jetty's nearby. The town shops are 2 1/2 -
3kilometres away and a petrol station for papers and milk is only one kilometre away. A walking track and reserve is opposite the home, where you can watch the signets, swans, hedge hogs, and sometimes dolphins in the lake.
Raymond Island by the ferry to do some koala or kangaroo spotting on foot or by car is a recommended trip, or try one of the coffee or restaurants by the water.
There's a longer walkingtrack that takes you out to Eagle Point township and nature reserve. you are bound to see kangaroos an other wildlife.

Otros aspectos a destacar
Raymond Island is a popular attraction to ride the ferry by car ($10) or free to pedestrians to view the koalas and Kangaroos, with the swans, pelicans and boating activities taken for granted !
Hopefully you will see the dolphins that are particular to the Gippsland Lakes either in Lake King or Victoria, or in the McMillan Straights around the jetty's. There is plenty of fishing to be done from jetty's for flathead bream or mullet.

Paynesville, Victoria, Australia

Fort King Island has been created due to the development of a canal being extended from the main Paynesville system and is serviced by a bridge, so there is no reliance on a ferry ! ie., 24/7 access to this quiet end of town. View Street only has neighbours behind and on the sides featuring terrific views to the north across a nature reserve, Lake King and the mountains in the distance. There is abundant bird life. A lovely waterside country town with markets and festivals throughout the year. There is a Wine bar, hotel, restaurants, bakery's, & takeaway fish & chips, piza, or asian, or delivery. Try the Cruiser Club for another experience.

Having travelled and worked in other countries I'm keen to share my property with other travellers looking for a unique location and residence. I enjoy good food, red wine and company, most types of music and am active in keeping fit, mostly cycling at this later stage of life, but bushwalking & motor cycle trips remain an interest.
