Unique, comfortable, inviting, relaxed, home away from home!! I'm at 9,000 feet and its snowing! Come play at Ski Cooper, Vail Ski Resort or Beaver Creek then come home to rest up in the hot tub & by the cozy fireplace...

El espacio
I am a full-time artist and pilot. I hope you find my home reflects this. The queen bedroom is on the main floor and has its own full bathroom. On the top floor is the bunk bedroom and master. The bedroom with the king/bunk bed (can be converted to either) has a vaulted ceiling, is comfortable and is approximately 10 x 15 feet in size and has a door to the toilet room. A second full bathroom is separated by a sliding door from the Master Bedroom. The master is large in size and has amazing views with a private deck off the back of the house. It's actually my room when I'm in the country. I love my kitchen! It's got everything you might need plus some.

This is the place to stay if your not interested in the hustle and bustle of Vail or its corridor however, close enough to the amenities that you won't miss it.

The house sits at 9,000 feet in elevation and backs up to open space on two sides with views from the front deck of our little town of Red Cliff. Holy cross, a 14,009 ft. peak, is the gateway to Red Cliff. The private hiking trail in the back yard is a 12 mile round trip loop and worth the hike! The trail has winter cross-country skiing, sledding, and snowshoeing just steps away. In the summer months, hiking, biking, class 4 kayaking, fly-fishing, trail running, and road biking is all within 5 minutes from the house. I'm sure if your an avid biker or trail runner you've heard of the Leadville 100. Well, this is the playing ground and literally just steps outside the front door.

What makes this getaway unique is the quick 10 minute drive to Minturn and 20 minute drive to Vail Ski Resort and at most 30 minutes to Beaver Creek. If you head in the other direction your fast at Camp Hale or Ski Cooper (10 minutes) and drive a bit further you arrive at the historic town of Leadville (30 minutes). Breckenridge is 1.5 hours and Ski Copper is about 40 minutes.

Cotton wood & Glenwood Springs hot springs are both within an hour 1/2 drive. I just can't say enough. I love it here. I live between Zurich, Switzerland and in the French Alps part-time. This past summer I spent in Alaska yet Red Cliff is still most definitely my home....

Acceso de los huéspedes
There is a code box for easy entrance. Guests are welcome to use the main area of the home, decks on the main floors and kitchen area. Ski/snowboard storage is in the lower area of the garage.

Otros aspectos a destacar
I can also cook and/or food shop for an additional fee. Friendly Pets are welcome with pre-approval (kind, social pets need only apply) and a non-refundable one time pet cleaning fee of $50 per pet along side a refundable security deposit of $150.00 to be paid upon your arrival. This is my home and I would like to extend it to kind, good-hearted people and their good-hearted friends aka pets. Pet sitting for the day while you ski or ride which includes two short walks or one long hike a day is $100. Overnight pet boarding is $150 which includes 3 walks, feeding, and lots of love..
Cell phone is via an AT&T booster, Iphone messaging and Facetime or wi fi calling for android phones otherwise, it is hit or miss or completely non existent. I have limited parking on the driveway. Only one vehicle spot is available. There is ample parking in town and the walk is a gorgeous, easy 5 minute walk. You also need a front wheel drive with chains or an all wheel/4 wheel to navigate the drive. Pets tend to be on site.

The town of Red Cliff has a post office, bar/restaurant, liquor store, and general store. We have approximately 100 houses and its very quiet. There is one stop sign, the closest street light is 20 miles away, and you are a 5 minute walk to Shrine Pass and unlimited fun! This is a TRUE mountain paradise!

Hi. I'm passionate with nature and being outdoors, pretty much every activity as long as it is outside. Overnight whitewater kayaking/rafting trips and back country overnight hut trips and playing hockey are my favorite! Tele-mark skiing & rock climbing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, and hiking for fall mushrooms on my little 125cc Cafe racer are also amongst my favorites. I also LOVE to cruise around in my van (named Vangogh) to new places for surfing (FYI; I'm horrible, I swim more than "surf" so don't ask for lessons). As for inside, I love anything artistic/creative, singing, dancing, working on greasy things, and my passion is to fly fixed wing airplanes which I do in Alaska the summers. I absolutely love to travel and cook! I've hosted farm table dinners in multiple countries and on 3 different continents. I'm also an artist/designer as my full time profession and currently taking prep courses for Bastyr's Doctoral program; an Integrative Medical School. I'd eventually like to see myself using my flying in combination with my language skills, travel skills, and medical education to help people in remote areas. I'd also like to create an organization preserving plant medicine, traditional healing practices and the natural habitats of said plant medicines. Eventually I will have an "Agriturismo-(italian)" with an area dedicated for my medical practice which will work in trade for whatever the person has to offer... an artist studio/workshop, Vineyard, herb and spice garden, vegetable garden, chickens, orchard, areas sectioned off for weary travelers and my favorite part.. a huge, long table with bright colored bulbs hanging overhead where I will occasionally host community dinners. This is my dream!!!! I have actually never taken a "vacation" but I've lived in a lot of places. I travel to immerse myself and typically will stay in an area for months and in some cases years. I ticked which languages I speak below but to be precise, I speak English, Spanish, and French fluently (which means write, read, and speak) and I am only conversational in Italian, I understand Portuguese, and get by in Swiss German. My life motto?? Hmmm I guess I would have to say it is "Live it, Don't watch or talk about it." I carry "The Prophet" by Khalil Gibran and the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz wherever I go.

I am mostly available. I do instruct snowboard and am in the process of acquiring my flight instructor rating.. I also enjoy getting up on the mountain for personal pleasure but otherwise I'll be around. If I'm not a sweet couple, Nick and Libby will be there to host you.
