Gastrobar

“Filled to the brim with antiques, this is the middle of a complex of restaurants and bars – each with different names housed in three 1920s shophouses. The Junk has a busy kitchen and the food here is very good. Pasta mains cost RM30 to RM40, pizzas are RM30 to RM45; other mains include Fisherman's Basket (RM40) and rib-eye steak (RM70). Portions are generous.”

“A place with a lot of seafood. Good place to have dinner with family. Even though it can get really crowded and have to wait for table, trust me. Just wait and enjoy the food. Seafood is fresh. Cooked to perfection. I personally like the oyster pancake. So crispy. ”

“Zinc is a restaurant that aims as producing the best, starting with their imported produce. Their menus features iberico pork, duck meat, pork steaks, most of them flown from a corner of the world. Zinc as it turned out comes from the idea of how french bars used to have zinc on countertops to prevent rusting. It is a popular term back in the day, they were called zinc bars. As explained by the owner who also is moonlighting as a waiter by the night. ”

“The Granary is somewhere I'd go for a night's out for a good steak with my girlfriends / loved ones. The ambience is rustic, romantic, mysterious, nomadic. It serves good western dishes, wine and beersl, TUAK ( a variety of local rice wine - MUST TRY!) , and desserts. I believe they open for lunch , definitely for dinner but they close early, around 11pm. Don't forget to take pictures with the murals .... tip : look up the building. ”
