“Britts is an absolute must when visiting the beach if you enjoy the best donuts ever made. People literally count down the days until they open for the season and for the first couple weeks they’re open the lines will be wrapped around the block and people that know about them will tell you they’re well worth the wait. ”

“I've been here for brunch, dinner & drinks, and to see bands play on summer nights. Its good food and good entertainment, but the parking isn't great. Worth a try if you're out on Carolina Beach. Just pay attention so you'll know its time to leave before the locals get too drunk ”

“The sights and sounds of family fun await you at the Carolina Beach Boardwalk, named one of the most awesome boardwalks in America by Budget Travel. The summer season brings amusement rides, seasonal live music and weekly fireworks. Enjoy sweet treats, colorful shops with souvenirs and beach gear, seaside restaurants and tiki bars. Oh, and did we mention easy access to our beautiful sandy shore?”

“For a polished but casual lunch or dinner, head to Havana’s where you’ll enjoy favorites like Cha-Cha Salmon, Fat Daddy Crab Cakes and Shrimp and Grits under the twinkly lights of three outdoor dining areas. Set in a 100-year-old beach house, the front porch and outside deck of the restaurant is also the perfect spot to watch the fireworks during the summer’s weekly Fireworks by the Sea and Boardwalk Blast.”

“Hands down this is my favorite restraint in Carolina Beach. The food is always consistently good and generous and the service is almost always well handled. If there’s a wait, order a cocktail in the leather seated lounge to relax while you wait. A lovely throwback to the olden golden days of smoky lounges. Gather and chat with a local at the bar. Or even grab a seat and order your meal from the friendly bartenders. This restaurant is tucked back in Charlotte Avenue also about .8 miles from Beach House at Tiki. A former church, it is decorated with all the fishnets, lobster gear, paddles and seafaring items to give this an elegant seaside charm. My fave is the Grouper Piccata. Gently sautéed in butter, garlic and lemon and tossed with some mild capers - you’ll want to lick the plate clean. My late mom always loved their rib eye and my daughter Cat always got the Duck breast in cherry glaze if it was on the menu. The lobster Ravioli is another light and sumptuous dish. I’d disabuse you if the Mussels app. Got that for my birthday another year but it was bland and disappointing. Splurge at almost anything else in the menu. You won’t be disappointed. Be sure to let us know your favorite. ”
