Critically acclaimed Stissing House made the 2023 New York Times 50 Best Restaurants in America. It's just 8 minutes north of our house on Rt 82. Serevan in Amenia is also wonderful!
Serevan is one of our favorite restaurants. The chef, Serge Madikans, creates the most delicious Mediterranean and Middle Eastern inspired dishes. I've never had anything less than a magnificent meal. The atmosphere is country farm house feel- a converted 1800 house that is warm and inviting. You will be delighted by the food, friendly service and inspiring cocktails. We advise making reservations in advance.

Hiking
Just a few miles north of our house, you will enjoy the gentle hill trails, birds and creek at the Buttercup Farm Audubon Sanctuary. Also, the Pine Plains Fire Tower hike just a few miles further north is breath taking. Both have wonderful view of our valley.
Just a short drive north of our house- about 4 minutes- you will find a lovely, gentle hike which you'll most likely have all to yourself. If you take the trail to the higher side of the sanctuary, you'll have a lovely view of our valley.
