City/town information

This is a beautiful long flat beach perfect for families with children ( very safe, no rip tides). SHADE under the palm trees is abundant. And it is only 12 minutes from Casa Corazón. When you exit Místico and go over the bridge, pass the gravel road onto the main paved road * at the intersection take a right and drive until you see the signs for Esterillos ( there are 2 entrances so if you missed the first don’t panic, there’s a second entrance.) and have a great time😊

Manuel Antonio National Park. Mangroves, Lagoons and beach lined rainforest. Howler, white-face and squirrel monkeys. This National Park is 45 minutes south driving on the Costanera Highway from Casa Corazón ( leave early and plan to spend most of the day there), get back in time for happy hour at the house to enjoy a quiet evening by the pool.

Consejos para la ciudad

Qué debes empacar

Must Bring: flipflops, mosquito repellent, sunblock

During the costarican winter/rainy months ( May through November roughly) is better to stay indoors between 5:00-7:00pm if you do not wish to deal with many mosquitoes. You can definitely just wear a long sleeve and apply repellent to enjoy a magical time on the beach. It’s up to each individual. Keep the doors of the house closed or at least with the mosquito screen closed.
