Blenhiem Palace is a country house in Woodstock (20 minutes drive). It is the seat of the Dukes of Marlborough and the only non-royal country house in England to hold the title of palace. The palace is one of England's largest houses and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in in 1987.

Punting is a popular activity in Oxford and punts (shallow boats) can be hired at several places within the city.
