Golden Gate Park is the biggest man-made park in the world. it's one of main attractions in SF because there is so much to do.
I recommend entering the park just two blocks from your stay and taking a walk all the way down to Ocean Beach, the great Pacific ocean is just about two miles from here.

You're just steps away from the #28 MUNI bus line which will take you to the Golden Gate Bridge. From there you can visit many of the tourist attractions in the Marina/North Beach neighborhoods. I recommend the bus ride because you can see different neighborhoods on your way
