A local bakery with breads and cakes baked on the premises. Freshly made up bacon/sausage butties for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch with hot take away soup. Tends to sell out by mid-afternoon.

Drinks & Nightlife

A traditional pub which was originally a farmhouse in the 16th century. There are some quirky things - look for the bust of Disraeli above the front porch, the flagstone commemorating a local having slipped there in the 1960s and listen out for the ghost if it's quiet upstairs!!!! Jason runs a friendly local pub with a large dining area serving wholesome, large portions. There is a large, flagged garden with pretty flowers to enjoy during the summer - also a car park out back. For me it has the best traditional Sunday lunch in town.

Delicate French pastries in the front of Rosie's - in a bar which serves lunches and tea/coffee during the daytime …… and becomes a lively locals’ bar during the evenings. Always a good atmosphere here amongst the folks of Winchcombe with a warm and genuine welcome. The retro jukebox is popular. Good beer, kept well and served at reasonable prices in chilled glasses. Snooker table. Behind lies a Thai restaurant serving great authentic Thai food freshly cooked. You can eat in or order from the take-away menu for collection or delivery. Great pizzas too. This is the only place which serves food until 10 pm. Small courtyard garden. Very welcoming and efficient staff encouraging a very positive atmosphere.

The Lion bills itself as 'shabby rustic'. Expensive. Watch out for the 10% added to your food bill. Popular with foreign tourists. Pretty garden.

Sightseeing

A lovely walk right from the house, along Gloucester Street, down Vineyard Street (one of the prettiest) streets leads you to Sudeley Castle. Great for a day out (buy your entrance tickets online for a small discount) or for a gentle stroll. There is a small cafe for a coffee if you are just there for the walk not the full visit.
