Narrow roads lead you to Calstock, a pretty village situated by the side of The River Tamar. Great for walks under the viaduct. The village hall often has entertainment and good pub with food.

Scenic drive to the market town of Tavistock. Great market, walks along the Tamar, park, theatre, pubs, restaurants, cafe, shops and Guildhall. As far as towns go one of my favourites.

Caradon Hill is another close place on Bodmin Moor which is great for walking. Fabulous views for miles in every direction. Ponies and cattle roam free and steeped in history from the old tin mines.

The Cheesewring is a great pub in Minions. It has friendly helpful staff and good food. The Cheesewring is also the name of the giant stones which sit at the top of the walk from Minions.
