Turn left at the light and there's a designated parking area with the trail head. The Greenbelt is 30 miles of trails, so be sure to remember which way you came from so you can find your way back to the car. You'll see rock climbers, mountain bikers, and lots of dogs running along the trail.

Want to get out and move a little? Go for a leisurely stroll or a run at Lady Bird Lake (AKA Town Lake). It spans 12 miles around the lake, with many different places to enter. Start at Auditorium Shores on W. Riverside Drive and walk East to check out the lit up board walks at dusk. Or head West and cross over the pedestrian bridge at Lamar. Either way, you'll get some exercise in and do plenty of people watching.
If you want to be in the water, check out paddle boarding or kayaking. There are many spots on the lake to choose from. A convenient location to try it the Texas Rowing Center. You can park by Austin High School and walk right down to the dock to rent a paddle board or kayak.
