Nice Italian restaurant, with wonderful food and relaxed atmosphere. Somewhat expensive and frequented by the local families.

If you want a really upscale restaurant, this is one of them, with excellent food, good service and elegant ambience. As the name suggests, it serves Italian food.

An Argentinian steakhouse, about the best meat to be had in Rio, and a variety of cocktails. Good service too and a nice setting, especially in good weather: by a port for small boats in Marina da Gloria.

Copacabana Beach, only 5 mins. from the apartment, is the iconic beach of Rio de Janeiro. It is the scene of New Year’s celebrations in Rio that do not have their equals anywhere else, and concerts and other events. In the summer it is crowded. You should not take any valuables with you, but there are 4 beach chairs and 1 sun umbrella in the flat that you can take with you to the beach. The caipirinhas and petiscos that are sold on the beach are excellent.
