Guidebook for Burbank Condo
Food Scene
There are so many DELICIOUS food options easily walkable from my condo! My advice is to put on your shoes, walk toward Riverside and pick whichever one looks best! Here are some of my favorites... (and some of my LA faves that aren't in my immediate vicinity)
Awesome little local, neighborhood coffee shop! With yummy egg salad sandwiches too. Totally walkable. Oh, and they filmed several scenes from Desperate Housewives here. ;-)

Historic 50's diner. Fun and kitschy, and open 24 hours! Totally walkable. And every Friday from 3-10pm they have a classic car show.

Super delish breakfast/brunch/lunch place across the street! Amazing french toast, waffles, crepes, egg dishes, coffee, etc. This place is hoppin' on the weekends tho, so be ready for a wait. Walkable

Who doesn't like a Starbucks right across the street? I walk over there almost every single morning. And never fear, if it's too busy there's also 1 in Von's (same shopping center) & another by Bob's.

A fantastic little sushi restaurant. Every bite is exquisite. Great vibe. A little pricey, but yummy. Also a little small, but if the wait is long you can go across the street to Kabosu (same owners)

My sister & I love this sushi restaurant. A little more casual than Yuzu, a bit cheaper than Kabosu. They have a great happy hour with discount sushi. :) It's 1.3 miles away, you determine walkability

Fantastic cuban bakery and cafe. Back when I ate gluten I LOVED their guava pastries. So good. Good coffee here too. Always hoppin' and busy. 1 mile away. Some guests walk, some drive.

THE BEST VIEW IN ALL OF BURBANK. Right on top of the hill and overlooks the whole valley. It's gorgeous. And the food is great. I love this spot!

Not in my immediate neighborhood, but one of my favorite places in all of LA! Get up to your elbows in the best, messiest seafood you've ever had. Must get "the whole shabang" sauce/seasoning. It is to die for. The main location is in Koreatown, but there are new locations popping up all over, including one if Downtown Burbank! :-D

They have GREAT breakfast and lunch food, a friendly staff, gelato, super yummy coffee drinks... and you can even get one of their signature "CelebriLattes" with a photo of your favorite celebrity in the foam of your drink! If you're here during a warm month you can sit outside on their patio. If it's chilly they have indoor seating, but it's a TINY space. Be ready to cozy up with your neighbor. Walkable.

BEST VIEWS OF HOLLYWOOD. This is one of my favorite spots in LA and it overlooks all of Hollywood! It's a traditional Japanese restaurant (and bar area) that overlooks the whole city. It's gorgeous and delicious. Their regular menu is a little pricy, but it's a special place. If you're wanting to experience the ambiance and the view without spending a lot of money, they have happy hour available in their bar area with food and drink specials!

24 hour drycleaners. What more is there to say? They also do alterations, and serve cookies and popcorn! Totally walkable. (coupons for here available in my unit)

Great little hotel bar in the hotel that backs up to my building! So literally right around the corner. Not even across the street. Totally walkable. Lots of celebs stay at this hotel under wraps. ;)

Everyone who knows Trader Joe's loves Trader Joe's. A different experience than shopping at a big chain grocery store. Lots of organic & fair trade products. And cheap too! Really delicious stuff.

This is the HUGE shopping and dining center attached to the Kodak Theater (where the Oscars are held each year). There are SO MANY fun shops and delicious restaurants here. Absolutely something for everyone. There's also a great view of the Hollywood sign from one area of the multi-level mall.

Universal Studios is great and so close to my place! There are lots of yummy restaurants, fun shops and activities, and a movie theater at CityWalk as well. We used to enjoy going to dinner and a movie a CityWalk!

The Getty is a great art museum perched atop Los Angeles, so it overlooks Hollywood, Santa Monica and the ocean. GORGEOUS VIEWS and architecture here. And it's FREE!! You just have to pay to park, then you ride this fun little tram up the hill to the museum. It's HUGE, beautiful, and has more than you could ever see in a day, so pick your favorite stuff. There are also cafes and restaurants up there (a little pricy), so you can slow down and grab a bite to eat or a drink.
