Opened in July 2016, this state of the art facility was designed to be as low impact as possible while providing us with enough space to serve our community and the growing number of beer tourists to Vermont. Our second year round beer, Focal Banger, is brewed in Stowe as well as seasonal beers that rotate throughout the year. The Alchemist Brewery and Visitor’s Center in Stowe provides samples of beer for tasting, retail beer sales, merchandise and a fun, educational experience.

Sightseeing
The Old Round Church, was built in 1812-13 under the direction of local craftsman William Rhodes to be the Town Meeting Hall and place of worship for members of five Protestant denominations. Significant for its rare design and well-preserved detail, it is perhaps the sole surviving example of an early 19th-century 16-sided wooden meetinghouse. Today it is open to the public during the summer and fall foliage seasons (10-4 daily) and serves as a venue for weddings and community programs. Click here for driving directions.

The Old Round Church
29 Round Church RdThe Old Round Church, was built in 1812-13 under the direction of local craftsman William Rhodes to be the Town Meeting Hall and place of worship for members of five Protestant denominations. Significant for its rare design and well-preserved detail, it is perhaps the sole surviving example of an early 19th-century 16-sided wooden meetinghouse. Today it is open to the public during the summer and fall foliage seasons (10-4 daily) and serves as a venue for weddings and community programs. Click here for driving directions.

Mountain RoadSmugglers' Notch State Park is a Vermont state park near Stowe in Lamoille County, Vermont, United States. The park is at an elevation of 2,119 feet near Mount Mansfield, and is named for Smugglers Notch, which separates Mount Mansfield—the highest peak of the Green Mountains—from Spruce Peak and the Sterling Range.
Compared to most other waterfalls in Vermont, this is a heavyweight. Moss Glen Brook flows through a sunny open area of mixed forest and meadow. The stream takes a sudden turn into a narrow confined gorge. The stream goes over a couple of small falls (5 foot and 12 foot) then makes a 33 foot drop into a pool at the head of the last drop. The final tier is a 62 foot slide leading into a plunge followed very shortly by two ledge cascades. In high water, this is essentially a single fall of 75 feet. The total drop is 125 feet making this one of the largest drops in the state. Most of the cascades in the gorge are inaccessible, unless you have rappelling gear. The gorge here is between 40 and 80' in depth. Some years there are Peregrine Falcons nesting in the cliff adjacent to the falls. The upper gorge isn't conducive to great views of the falls within. The edges of the gorge are very abrupt, and often overhanging to a degree. It's possible to gain some views into the depths, but only from a couple of locations, and they're not particularly scenic.
