Not your typical "tiki" bar but these guys are definitely knowledgeable in their rum! We know the owner from various Bushwick bars, his name is Austin - a rad dude! They've got great food...I'm a sucker for the chicken tenders paired with a shot & a beer.

This place is one of our staples. It's spacious, has bar arcade games, a pool table, and I must say...some of the BEST bar food to ever exist. The guy Fernando and his staff whip up the perfect concoctions for a hangover or simply when it's late and you want fried pizza rolls. Win win!

This is a good but busy work place if you're here to do some freelance work or catch up on emails. It's one of the more spacious coffee shops in the hood. Great coffee and super good bagel sandwiches. Outdoor seating as well.

Small cozy cocktail bar. They do "shitty movie" nights and bingo. There's live music sometimes. The environment is like your parents' basement in the 70s. They have board games and a little mini library. A place to check out for sure.

Like to dance? Need to let loose? HOY is a theatrical atmosphere that hosts themed events and given how relatively close it is...could be worth experiencing. If you hop on the site early enough, you could snag a free RSVP before a certain entry time otherwise it can get spendy. From the Myrtle/Wyckoff L (only 4 blocks away), it's 2 stops on Jefferson. Lots to explore on Wyckoff Ave which in that area is considered Bushwick. If it's nice, you can walk back...if you prefer a car (esp after a night out), it's a cheap fare!

Best breakfast burritos. Homemade batch juices (like strawberry horchata, hibiscus, watermelon -- changes daily). It's about a 10-15 walk but worth it.
