We never go to Bishop Arts and fail to visit this amazing little pie shop. Meghan loves the Smooth Operator (chocolate with pretzel crust). I'm partial to the Lord of the Pies (apple pied) a la mode. Warning: it's way cute.

Cutest coffee shop in Dallas. Also, a couple of best-kept-secrets: the parking garage next door is totally free (at least for customers) AND there's a cool garden/park right above it. Just ride the elevator up one floor.

One of the best restaurants ever. It's Italian food, but don't think Olive Garden. Think gourmet bread, house-cured meats, perfect meats and veggies, and craft cocktails. They actually keep some tables reserved for walk-ins. It's not cheap, but so worth it.

Absolutely beautiful little property with a restaurant, cocktail bar, and bistro, all surrounding an old world courtyard with a beautiful fountain. Perfect date spot!

Not exactly nature, but for an urban hang out it's pretty cool. Great playground for kids, plenty of food trucks, and in warm weather, there are several splash pads!

Free old-fashioned trolleys that go all over uptown and downtown Dallas. There are NOT the fake trolleys a lot of cities have that are really just buses. These are mostly old, reclaimed trolleys. Kids love them.

Hip, quaint, in the middle of Massive revitalization, this is definitely one of our favorite neighborhoods in Dallas! Lots of good food, good coffee, great night spots, and for dessert, Emporium pies is a must.
